Its great that someone has produced (like you and Birdman) an alternative for the NLA original blocks. My point was more to avoid the poor service practices and neglect that causes the problems. In my case intermittent aux cooling fans was the symptom that alerted me that something was up. A quick look at the fuse panel indicated overheating was taking place and I followed through with the repair I described. As mentioned, I haven't had a hiccup out of the stock panel for over 30 years since performing the repair. Best wishes, Andy
I'm surprised that you find then GT4 uncomfortable. We've done some pretty long stretches on this trip, including the leg we've just completed, which was 4 hours non-stop. The leg from the Picos NP to Pamplona was 7 hours including a couple of stops. I'd also like to work out how to flash the fog lights. Paul
At the risk of hijacking this thread, I have a question that is somewhat germane. Does anyone have a source for the white plastic terminal shields pictured on each wire connected to the fuse panel here? I have a few that have yellowed and are overheated and would like to replace them.
Not uncomfortable as such Paul. I can get a very comfortable driving position. But I am quite large, probably too large for the seats, and after a couple of hours the side bolsters of the seat base start hurting my bum as really the seat is not wide enough for me. Also, as I'm getting on, I do gets some aches in my knees unless I straighten my legs every now and then. It's the same in my daily driver but easier to straighten them. In June I did a 4 hour non stop stint in France and felt it afterwards!
Ha - it's Paul and I who have hijacked the thread and gone off topic! Don't have an immediate answer to your question.
I bought mine in the UK here Not sure where you can get them in the US. If you are stuck let me know and I'm sure I can put a few in the post to you.
They do not do any international business. I have a daughter living in London and have asked her to get involved. Thanks for the lead.
