Hi, there, What insurance do you use? I have changed the car insurance to State Farm and I would like to change carrier. Thanks!
is it agreed upon value? I am trying with Grundy. How much would you put down the value for a 2015 458 coupe, 2+ miles, MSRP 320K? I put 270k. Price is 2600 annually. But the Grundy website list only 35K for the uninsured motorist...
In my opinion you don't need agreed value for a 458 Italia. The car is in its depreciation curve now, and there's enough of them being sold that price aggregators and used car listings are readily available as proof of value in the event of a total loss.
I think you are right. It is just that the website asks me about the value, and I just put in the balance of the loan...
Are quotes here as a second car? I don't have a first car so I think rates are more expensive when in this situation. Also I live in NYC. My rates are multiples of what is posted here for a 2015 458 Spider (only car in NYC) with 3k mile limitation and $340k stated value. I'm using Pure which also provides our homeowners policy.
I have three autos on the policy. I also have my homeowners and umbrella policies with the auto. I agree your location commands a higher rate. PM me and I will give you my brokers contact information for another quote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't seem to find how to PM on this new platform. I went to your profile and there is no option to send a personal message or I missed it.
You're right, I can't find it either. Call Kevin Brooks of Johnson Kendall Johnson-215-579-6434. You can use my name (Robin Eglin). Let me know how it goes.
I went through my local independent insurance agent and he went with Grundy for the 458 and State Farm for the daily driver.
I couldn't find one that did. I used Lockton earlier this year but hear that Haggerty now has HPDE insurance. State Farm, $1700 per year for my 2014 458 (two cars with State Farm with two driver family, home owners, no recent tickets).
I picked up my new 2018 488 Spider last fall and I never asked how much the insurance premium would be. I have 5 cars, no accidents or tickets and I’m over 50. The annual premium with Travelers is $7,000! Apparently there is no ISO rating for the 488 yet as it’s so new so they use actual value. I was expecting it to be $2000-$3000 a year. Anyone have similar experience?
That’s a very high premium. I have a new 2018 488 and the premium is a little over $1,000 with an agreed value amount. You should shop around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have been with Geico 25+ years. I have a 2018 488GTB, 2017 BMW X5M (daily), 2014 Range Rover Supercharged, and a 2007 Range Rover HSE. Perfect driving record $4100 a year total. I was shocked the 488GTB doubled my premium I am going to shop around.
I actually think I am at $4100 for six months! I have to double check with Geico. I cant recall but I know my 458 was not this much along with my other cars..
I think I've read this thread before and then I doubled checked my 458 Spider rates and no one came close to the low rates on this thread. It depends on where you live and where car is parked. I live in NYC and even though the car is "park and lock" in a huge space with pillars around it (no other car doors can come close to touching it), the rate with Pure is about $4500 per year as an only car (clean driving history). However, I'm getting an SUV and there is no two car discount because the 458 is a different class of car (hmmm...). Keep in mind I insure the car for a fixed, full value of about $340k so I can get a fully loaded new car if it was wrecked or stolen. With the new car, my broker is going to shop it around again when premium is due in a couple months.
