There will be a Ferrari event at Road Atlanta in March 2018:[ATTACH]
No, that's Corsa Cliente, it looks like. You'd get to see some of the rarest cars out there...FXX, guys who own F1 cars that the factory maintains, etc. that's my birthday too. sjd
I imagine it will be open to the public, at a price. Wait until Road Atlanta publishes their 2018 event schedule. And a reminder to take a look at the dates: this is NOT a weekend event, so you may have to play hooky.
Rumor has it this is a closed event for the clienti only. No tickets for the public. I hope not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least the FCA can get the gates open for us. We'll see.
If they do that, they'll have to put up with a whole lot of Ferraris outside the gate, all beeping their horns in unison!
I can certainly appreciate those clients with those cars not wanting to have a parade of just anyone and everyone getting in the event. But it would be nice if they would at least allow the Ferrari community in be it through the dealer or FCA and other owners. I hope something works out for us.
I've contacted my man Bud Moeller (who is bringing an F2003-GA and/or a 599XX to the event) to see if he and his fellow participants can intervene if necessary.
No kidding. I'd love to come over and see this. Can't believe they would keep it completely closed. Crazy. Please keep us posted if there is any traction with the dealer or FCA route.
Bud told me that at these "test sessions" (which is what this is, officially), non-participants can usually get passes through their local dealer or the FCA.
In that case it would be nice to see interest in this event from the FCA's Southeast region - or from the local chapter in Georgia at the very least. I haven't heard anything from either.
My shop and residence is exactly 5 minutes from the track. I will be there even if I have to dig a tunnel or cut a fence. Who's with me
