Okay, I understand that the purest are not going to like this... But, I want to replace my 348 taillights with 308 lights. I'm going to keep the grill and just replace the lens (see attachments). I know it wouldn't be a simple swap, but I think the end result, when done right, will like good and give my 348 more of a Ferrari look.

What I want to do is make a mini harness to connect from the 348 light connector to the 308 light connector.
My questions is: Where can I buy the connector ends to make my mini harness?

When I installed a Challenge Grill on my 348 I picked up 355 lights (mistake) I had to buy 355 harnesses for them. You may want to pick up 550 lights, they use the same 348 harness (at least in the early models) You may want to check Ferrparts in Sacramento, they have a bunch of parts for our cars and good people to deal with... Good luck, that will be a very cool setup.

I really like the vintage look of the 308/328 taillights.

Somebody must sell the matching taillight connectors.

I would really hate to cut the wires just to make it work. But... if I have to, I will.

There is no doubt about it....I’m a pure 348 snob but....I really dig the look of that tail light set-up.

Each to their own I guess, but I for one have always loved the look of the 348 tail lights:

If anything, I would have preferred for all of the lights at the back of the 348 to have been thin strip lights that matched the tail lights.

    Well, here we go...
Looks like there are natural places in the chassis to install them with a little modification.
I'm going to retain the original mounting holes so I can put the original lights back on someday, if needed.

I had a hard time removing the right rear light. Found out it was warped badly by muffler heat...

Very cool! I've always admired the bingo sports 348 in your first photo as well as the Francochamps 348. If memory serves me well, I believe Michelotto did the light conversion on the Bingo Sports 348; Anyone else recall if this is correct?

Awesome project, was thinking about doing this the other day.
Will be following this thread! Maybe you can make kits once you’re done?

All 4 lights are now in!
Next, the fine adjustments to make them perfectly even... then make the mini harnesses that will use the stock quick connects.
