The cars are sold - see the posts directly above yours from earlier this year - or are you interested in the horses ?
This is very good news! Who is the lucky owner? They should create a thread here with the progress of the restoration of the cars.
One car is already restored and has had it's shake down! http://www.autosport.be/news/2010/10/17/MoneytronFerrariSKrijgenTweedeLevenInBelgianHistoricCup It seems there is a very happy ending in this thread. THANK YOU Frank Jennen and Harry Peeters! I hope to meet you guys soon at some circuit! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great story this is. I wonder what they will do with the other one's colour scheme. It looked very ugly!
Here's the deal. Buy them both. Restore one. Race it some. Now, try to sell it for big bucks. Then, maybe, restore the second one. If the first one doesn't sell, keep the second one under wraps to hopefully, eventually, drive up the price of the first one. We'll see.
Interesting - I followed this thread frequently when I lived in Belgium, but then it went off my radar for a while. I am, however, VERY happy to see that one car is up and running so quickly!! I hope to see both of them get proper treatment and seen in public again. PDG
Great to see them back to their former glory! The article says that the barn where they were found was recently hit by lightning and completely burned to the ground! Talk about saved by the Bel(l)gians
I just read this entire thread, from the exciting beginning, to the happy ending. Such an awesome story, and a great way to keep me entertained during class
The Moneytron Mondials are for sale in Belgium. Both cars are restored. You can have both cars for 150.000 Euro. You can see many pictures here: Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Q V Competition (1989) for sale Image Unavailable, Please Login
Both cars are for sale in Belgium they were in display at the interclassics fair in Brussels this weekend. They are completely rebuild, engine included, and are rated 340 hp.
Good story, read it from the start. Same question than above; Did these cars sell and what was the price? There has definitely been some ups and downs in the values since 2005 when this thread was started.
RIP Van Rossem https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2018/12/17/jean-pierre-van-rossem-colourful-belgian-ex-marxist-financial/
Van de Poele was around, but never drove the f1 cars. He hoped hanging around JP was his jump towards f1. Gachot, Johansson and Lehto drove the f1 cars. Eddie Irvine did a test with the cars.
