The drivers were fine everywhere actually. The only really bad and stupidly dangerous driving I saw was from a couple of younger guys on the rally from London. There was one moment when this guy overtook me, 3 other cars and a truck and just got back in lane what seemed like a fraction of an inch before the oncoming huge speeding truck!
In any case, you'll remember that fantastic trip for the rest of your life. And thanks again for sharing this with us.
Same experience on a local drive a few years ago. Some people are just idiots. It is what it is (sadly)
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate.
For those of you with good eyesight here are the 20 classes of cars.
Mark - don't blow your house up Seriously - might want to consider installing an exterior tank and pump..
Haha yes I hear you. Two friends are taking 8 cans each, that leaves me with 20 cans which is 100 gallons. The 3 old cars I have take about 30 gallons each so it’s not as much as it looks!
May the fuel be with you, Mark! What a ride. I latched on to your thread late, have just read it through with joy, depriving myself of considerable time doing client work, but what the hell, how often can one experience someone else's joy concurrently and in gorgeous technicolor? Your thread is a permanent keeper.

The new neighbors look interesting to with a 250LM and a series 1 Cabriolet with some custom body work...maybe. How long will your Ferrari be there?
Not sure I think through the weekend. There will be Ferraris at 4 locations in NYC and you get a stamp for each location and after 3 you get a hat or something like that. Sounds fun, I don’t know the full details.
OK it just looked different with the chrome trim missing on the fender vent. That may have just been the camera angle. Thank you for confirming that detail and still with the factory spec covered headlights to. For a guy who likes blue it must have been tough for him to go back to silver grey. At least he kept the red interior which looks wonderful against that silver paint!
Interesting though not unexpected as he has a finely developed taste (and knowledge) over decades for the 'classics'... I think Verde Seabird would make an interesting feature story of old and new examples together. Thanks for that!
