Image Unavailable, Please Login Yikes this is one rare (I think) but cheap watch. I noticed it still has a cellophane cover over the face glass.
Thought I'd try this company out as their reputation is pretty good and they do direct sales. This is what I call the Steinhart Paul Newman. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the design. I noticed your pic has dive equipment in the background. Have you taken that watch under? Great watch either way, but an affordable, automatic, Paul Newman that can get wet would be really cool.
I have taken it underwater, jumped into the water, and swam with it just to make sure it really is waterproof and so far so good. Cost me just shy or $1100. It has a tried and true movement, and the case quality is exceptional. My days of very expensive watches may be coming to a close as there seem to be solid values and exemplary design in $1000 watches.
My first contribution to this thread. I've had the GMT since 1991. The cheapo Maserati (Chinese-made?) is a souvenir from our Venice trip. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was a Carrera kind of day. Any of you going to the watch time expo in NYC this weekend? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Same here. I thought about this watch for a couple of months, read and watched too many reviews of Steinhart, and found no red flags. There are actually 2 more models I would like as well but this one won.
Great watch, but I'm interested in the table it is sitting on -- it looks like old clay bricks. My guess is that there's an interesting story behind it.
Reminds me of my IWC Top Gun...... I think I'll break it out tomorrow! Image Unavailable, Please Login
