ROSBERG RETIRES!

Kind of how the rest of the world feels having to listen to the British Bias Corporation (BBC) leg humping Lewis Hamilton...

 

Not just the rest of the world, many people in the U.K. cant stand the over the top bias either. Sky is ridiculous, and they know it, and it get worse every time they go on air. Lord knows how they will cope when he retires, they will have so much silence in the programme it will be nuts

 

I'm not so sure about that..... most I've spoken too thought he came across well, just as he had in previous appearances. Give him a couple more opportunities on camera to get used to the quick fire questions etc, I think he will do well, certainly has more relevance to the new cars than some of those who expect us to swallow their explanations every week

 

+1 he is more than qualified whether some here accept his title or not. They simply refuse to grow up and move on

 

Absolutely. Whatever we think of Elton, this guy stood up for his final season, achieved his goal, and became champion of the world beating Elton, the man some here say is the greatest. That proves nico is worthy as far as I'm concerned, and certainly gives him qualification to 'pundit ' to the likes of us

Yeah, can you imagine the uproar if I got a job. No way at sky, they'd sack me as soon as I laughed at eltons sunglasses or something, but maybe Italian tv need a more biased commentary for all our ex-pats out there to enjoy hahahaha

Everyone I know thought Nico was excellent, and anyone who thinks he had a dig at Hamilton has a chip on their shoulder. I thought he was surprisingly complimentary about Hamilton, actually. I really hope he sticks around as a commentator.

So what does that say about Lewis? He lost his title against a "loser"...But still you concider him as the greatest...that does not make any sense at all!!!
When have Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Senna and Schumacher lost against a "loser"?

 

Personally I think F1 is lacking now the Nico / Lewis rivalry has disappeared. It's intensity was akin to Prost / Senna.

No i don't normally have problems with Germans ,having lived there for some years previously.

He is qualified to talk about F1 of course,however having him on Sky is like Lewis working for German TV,not a great combination,although i guess Lewis could not hold a conversation in numerous languages,as could Nicole.

No doubt Sky are trying it out to see how the reaction goes...

Incidentally Schumacher lost to 'loser' Rosberg too. (Although I don't think any of them are losers myself)

Schumacher against Rosberg certainly was not the same Schumacher he was 10 years before...Lewis and Nico were both in their prime...

 

I've been back for ages, but I refuse to be drawn into Hamilton or racing discussions. Happy to talk about commentators though lol

 

I love it when Brits talk or post about Rosberg. You can just feel their butthurt about 2016 coming out through the posts. Great stuff.
