I am looking or add free-flow cats to my 1983 Mondial QV
I would appreciate comments and equipment recommendations.
    Thank you.

Don't know where you live but if the car is old enough and cats are not required by your state do away with them. Here in MD historic vehicles do not need emissions testing .

Hyperflow and Fabspeed may have free flow cats for this application. I think Fabspeed also offers a recoring service where they will put a high flow core into your existing cat. The high flow cats will give you a slight bit more exhaust growl. Removing cats will just give you an eyewatering exhaust smell, and no performance benefit over highflow cat. But removing a cat will reduce engine bay heat considerably, which has benefit.

    Ric,
Removing the cats are even adding the sport cats will make it louder. For me its loud enough. This is subjective though. But after say an hour of driving it can be a bit tiring YMMV

Yes I thought about that, I used to have a Shelby mustang with long headers, no cats and just the cat back muffler and it was just too loud, impossible to have a phone conversation while driving
