I'm wetting my pants, so sexy it looks My target is to work on the car each day , from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours ... and keep the family happy too of course Today, I re-installed the front blinkers, bumper and lights and thanks to Martijn, I leaned about the best approach for refitting the rear window. That's truely magnificant! Beats the red that she was wearing by a mile. Thank you for putting her back in her original colour....... Cheers Jurgen

Today: Fitted the rear window, side windows and the 2 rear hoods. DAMN! That looks awesome!! The prototype of the rear window fitted like a glove! That's fantastic news! Then I decided to just let it in because it looks very good. Repaired the cracks in the roof liner with fibreglass. This is just phase 1, after this I'm applying transversal lines of fibreglass to make the cardboard more sturdy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Today: finalised the pop-up lights, installed the grill, checked all the electrics. The only things that aren't working so far are the LH front blinker and lower parking light. Everything else is working, even the heating works and all vents blow air !!!!!!!!! Even the ones in the dash LH and RH and the ones in the rear! I will publish pictures of the entire car somewhere in November as I don't want to publish pics of the car in an unfinished shape. Next things to do: the mouldings around the rear side windows and the headliner of the ceiling.
Yesterday: finished the front lights and installed the front sub grill. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today: painted the mouldings of the side windows. Tried to put the long moulding back in its place beneath the rear side window. MAN !! What a PITA !!! The clips holding the moulding don't seem to clip well enough to these small plates at the bottom of the window. Looking for a better way to to fix these mouldings. Next to that: some extra strengthening of the cardboard ceiling with fibreglass. And I removed the rubber strips of some doors I have in stock to put on the doors of the golden one It's quite a challenge to put these rubbers on the doors (window frame): a lot of vaseline and some heavy pulling ! The point is to not pull too hard so the 90° corner in the rubber doesn't snap !
OK, so that's done. If you put the mouldings back, first put the small white clips over the small plates and only then press the mouldings over them. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just finished with the most delicate thing so far: putting mouldings around the rear side windows. Had to push and adjust a bit, took me 3 hours for both sides to do it well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
