Is it a replica or the real deal?

Looks like two different cars, in pictures #5 and #6. Rear window is more angular in #5. I would guess the car in #6 is a fake.

I was recently driving at night and saw, on the other side of the street, what looked like a black 250LM, just parked by the curb. Couldn't stop there. Was I dreaming, or does someone know of such a car?

Unknown creation. But if it really is some ‘#6045’, these are the four versions:

    - Original: 1969/sep. total write off in a fire; body completly destroyed; chassis cut up from Ron Kellog (Gerald Roush, Ed Niles and Ted Walker: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-ferrari-market/451449-250-lm-auction-s-n-6045-a-15.html; post 294 and 295; and http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4/109016-250-lm-28.html post 546 and 557; http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/recreations-non-period-rebodies/255540-250-lm-repro-coming-up-auction.html post 11)

    - Reconstruction #1: Richard Freshman rebuild; using the *original* title, a *new* chassis and body, the *original* rear cross bar with the *original* 6045 chassis number and the *original* engine as well as all other remaining and functional *original* parts.

    - Reconstruction #2: *new* Almec/Cantelli replica chassis; *new* Bacchelli body built late 80s, some numberless – allegedly original – tubes showed up in Italy, but any Florini inspection and Vaccari rebuild is unproven marketing for the 2014 RM auction.

    - Reconstruction #3: Red Book certified works replica; using all *new* Vaccari replica chassis built 2012/3, *new* (second) Bacchelli body and some unidentified parts of Reconstruction #1.

Ferrari allegedly destroyed #1 after the construction of #3. But what happened with #2? However, can anybody explain why #3 should be more legitimate then #1? And aren’t such manipulations with certificates, experts and massive money making the real tragedy of Ferrari history? Everybody knows about a GTE converted to a SWB. But with such faking of important cars all get cheated, although it's of vital importance to know, if really an original is entered a race, displayed in a concourse or … ‘sold’ from RM for 11.5M.

Nice indeed! But what is it, who made it and where/when was the picture taken? And where was the picture of the wonderful display taken (post 13)?

Another fake 250LM? Bachelli & Villa
49 275's they have restored and a lot LM's, many have their ultra thin original bodies replaced already.

Late Eighties at Bachelli's: '6045' (DK-car) with all *new* Almec/Cantelli replica chassis and 1st replica body; Slavic “'5149'” on the right

Bachelli is a real master indeed and I also like the displayed wooden buck (post 13)! What is it? Scalietti original?
