Aside from the great quali and his start today, honestly he didn't do much than hang on. Bottas was sitting there the entire race protecting 2nd place from Vettel. That was "the alternative plan" that Hamilton's race engineer told him about. Bottas was just going around to hold on to 2nd place.

Di Resta consistently keeps talking Kimi down as not worth of his seat after kimi commented he better keeps his day job during his only race.

 

50 seconds behind Max is nothing to be proud of. If Kimi could have challenged Bottas Vettel could have possibly made the championship go one more race.

Max was almost 1 second a lap faster than Kimi and Max was nursing his PU the entire race.
