Now the better weather is upon us, I am looking into having a go at a Track Day.

Does anyone know of any in the not too distant future around Hampshire/Dorset area?

I would be very interested to hear from anyone.

    Thanks in advance.

the issue is noise unfortunately, I would suggest you drop into Combe or one of the Motorsport-Events days at Hullavington or Keevil and ask them ot noise test your car, that way you'll know before committing money to a day and being turned away for being too loud

If you check the following site it will give you dates for MS days

or here for Combe and others

Plan is to set off at weekend - (stay in Pairs on Saturday or straight to MC if Sunday) the organisers have booked Novotel on Sunday night (Euro 100 for double) with meal (Euro 35 per head). Track cCost Euro 300 (but slight refund expected due to popularity), coaching by the Christophe Tinseau (French F3000 driver). Return to Novotel MC or Paris and return to blighty next morning.

As for miles autoroute has it as 350 from Calais to MC.

Just got back from said event - for future reference I can confirm that as an example of an FOC France organised event:

    - Great selection of cars. Nizza and I both got 5 laps riding shotgun in an Enzo and 360 CS's. never mind modena's, spider's, 355's, Lambo GTR, Porker GT2, etc. etc.
    - Great food. Nigh on gourmet lunch compared to a silverstone burger, beans and chips.
    - Great atmosphere
    - Huge track time - 9.00 am until 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm until 6.00pm. Instructors included Ange Barde (Euro 360 Challenge series winner) and Christophe Tinseau (F3000 professional driver) and spoke English and French
    - Decent weather - most of the time
    - Great security - car park had no gates so fat man and huge doberman were hired to let us sleep with no worries

I will revert with details of events later in the year.

Glad to here you had a good time at MC.

Do you have any lap times or telemetary as going to be there in July?

How long did it take you to get there or back?

    Cheers

No times or telemetry - would have been too depressing compared to Enzo!!

To get there was a generous two hours to hotel just off Paris perepherique and a further two and half hours to circuit. It could be done quicker but we stuck religiously to the speed limit (French Police gone mad - see my next thread!).

    As for circuit :
    - the enzo had a video camera stuck to it during my laps. I will try and find a web address for viewing. This will help with lines.
    - the real difficult corner is called 180. I don't know if you have been before but if I see you on 19th at Silverstone then I it would be great to discuss lines/braking etc.
