The Lewis "Elton" Hamilton Sucks Thread

That's the understatement of the week...... he barely knows which button does what on his steering wheel, I hope he does have someone doing his taxes, or he's going to jail!

 

That is certainly true...but I hope that he asks them the right questions what they are doing.
It would be grossly negligent if he just signs papers without asking what they mean in detail. It certainly is not based on his ideas but he should give his aproval as he faces the consequences if something goes wrong. Also if there will be a bad press this will affect him more than his taxmen. And he would not be the first celebrity pulled over the barrel....

 

Hamilton has an MBE (which will likely be upgraded in the the near future) - he can drape himself in his flag all he wants and is very much encouraged to do so

There are many athletes getting in trouble because of tax evasion....football players are caught everyday..just recently Messi, then Ronaldo, so many others, a couple years ago it was Valentino Rossi, these guys win tons of money, and i understand they will do everything to keep as much as theycan, i would do the same...but, once you've acted acordingly with the law, it's plain stupid to pretend you pay what you don't have to. If your origin country taxes you too much and you decide to live elsewere so you can pay less, that's fine with me, but at least be honest about it.

 

Lewis' problem is he doesn't spend nearly enough time in Monaco as it is (especially with rules being tighter now than ever). Not because of his racing schedule but outside of it...MC turned somewhat of a blind eye to sports people (loads to be done with ''travel days''), as F1 drivers do struggle staying in MC the full 186 days anyhow, but Lewis has taken the piss with them. Only spends a couple of weeks out there = not enough.

 

Some have definitely been accused (and even sentenced) in the past.

 

We seem to have drifted out of the turn, gotten onto some marbles, left the tarmac, and are presently bouncing across the grass near a wall. Let's get things back under control and rejoin the track.

If EY/Lawyers etc checked it out as legit ,then anyone with half a brain (cue the not Lewis fan boys) would just sign the papers etc,that is why you pay your lawyers/accountants big fees.

If it turns out that,due to change of use of the jet ,he needs to pay some taxes then he will no doubt pay them, a few £mio is a drop in the ocean to him.Lewis might in that case have a claim against his advisors ,and of course that will probably be covered by some form of liability insurance...

Regarding Lewis living abroad ,using offshore accounts etc mainly for tax reasons ,this is entirely normal for such folks.The days of F1 drivers living next door to the factory are pretty much history.

 

Maybe elton will have to drive faster now, in case the revenue come after him in Brazil .......... I'm hoping they repo his Mercedes just before qualy, that'd be hilarious.

 

I don't think the tax thing should be taken serious. We're just kidding here.

They even got Rosberg a couple of years ago. Born and bred in Monaco FFS .

We're just toying here with some midweek news, I would encourage anyone to pay as little tax as legally possible. Tax avoidance = Legal, Tax evasion = illegal. Outside of the USA no need to rescind your citizenship when moving to a tax haven to not pay tax in home country anymore.

 

OK....so for me to understand:
Lewis is proud of coming from the "poor areas" of England and despite having not the same possibilities as a rich guy like Nico, he is proud to have made it....
Now he tries to avoid paying taxes in his home country that might benefit the "poor areas" and the education or possibilities of those who are as unfortunate as he was and he prefers to leave and construct "legal" tax models to pay less tax at a different place. And as a reward he is given a MBE....

So the message is: despite being "poor" you can make it in the UK and if you made it get the hell out of here as soon as possible...Yes, certainly makes a lot of sense for anyone with half a brain

Then again please do not forget anything Lewis might quietly do for some charities (especially children ones),rather then see his money handed out to the benefits scroungers etc etc from other countries pouring into the UK over the last years ..

 

Maybe they are coming from a poor place and went to the UK to avoid taxes at home

Nico hands down and classy too......IMO.

 

I do not care what he is wearing but I wonder whether these glases are real or fake styling? Does anybody know whether Lewis actually needs glasses and does he drive with contact lenses?
Does anybody know who of the drivers is driving with lenses? I wonder how they manage that as sometimes they might slip and there seems to be no possibility to adjust that during a race as you won´t be able to touch them with the helmet and the gloves on....

Lewis is a tad unconventional,Nicole is simply boring plain vanilla,oooooh that shirt with the top two buttons undone,so damn daring !

 

Im pretty sure there are a couple of contact wearers on the grid, I've heard it discussed before, but for the life of me I can't think who they were. Some of the best soft lenses are pretty good, but as a contact wearer myself, it's not slipping that happens often, it's dust and grit 'on the wind' that gets in your eye and under the lenses. That's the killer, hurts like heck and you are effectively blind. The helmet would have to be pretty much airtight around the visor area and let no airflow in at such high speeds. However, some helmets are good enough, I know from my motorcycle racing days, as I had to wear my lenses otherwise I wouldn't see the rider next to me on the grid, let alone my way around at speed. The speeds of the F1 cars are of course higher, but I imagine wit the money spent on helmets, they'd be far better than the ones I was using years ago.

I'm thinking Nico hulk, possibly grosjean, it was someone in the midfield I'm sure.
