    Dave, that's not true! It's all PP nowadays. ABS is still used quite a bit, but in more selective places. And yes, it is always painted/wrapped when in functional or sun exposed areas.

    I know you are a plastics guru, not trying to be insulting. There were numerous issues through 80's-2000's with environmental stress cracking on parts.

    Brett - when I have a chance and have some newer parts in house from a Cali or 458, I'll post a photo showing the ABS identifications on the parts.

    EDIT - just realized we had some Cali parts in house so I just shot this photo...

    This part is a Polycarbonate / ABS blend

    Nice, guess I'm out of my element price bracket wise. Still new to Ferrari and other high end cars. I'm quickly learning the material cost aren't as important to them. :)

    Most of my experience is PP + Talc + Rubber fillers.
