Current Favorite F1 Driver

We have a lot of threads about who sucks what, etc, etc so I thought it would be interesting to see who everyone actually likes. Whatever reason is the most important to you be it that he'll win, personality, whatever.

Options were limited to the number of poll choices possible.

In no particular order, I think.

 

Honestly I cannot pick. I’ll go with Vettel and Kimi because I want the red cars to win.

But Alonso showed at Ferrari and McLaren he’s good at pushing junk around

Hamilton may be the best driver but Bottas is proving he’s just ok. He’s never really challenged him all year. Then again, that might be what Merc wants.

I know. LeClerc.

 

I'm just not ready to get on the Max train. Lot's of hype at this point that doesn't take into consideration the amount of damage he's caused. Even the last win... not on merit in my book. If the top two drivers are out of the mix... one of them by you cross-cutting him and taking out his wing,.. it just isn't something that causes me to start wondering aloud if he's gonna be the WDC next year. I mean seriously. Max, Red Bull in total... has not one a single race without having taken advantage of compromised front runners. When they do, it'll be a different story and will likely be Max not Ric. Maybe he just doesn't realize it but he's #2 on that team. Next year could be a very different story. If Renault get that engine reliable, RB could be fighting for wins on a real competitive level.

Overtook Hamilton on Merit in Malaysia and won that race...

 

I am a life long Ferrari fan. Having said that:

Sainz and Ocon are first runners-up. Hell I like most of the drivers, just hate MB dominance and Lewis's unrelenting narcissism.

 

Alonso, Vettel, Kimi, ricciardo. Sainz could be close if he steps up to his potential

 

Alonso...or Elton..hard to choose...

Vettel for myself... Never really cared for Alonso but his stock went up with me the way he took to Indy and pushing his POS F1 car towards the front.

 

Lewis a clear favorite...Alonso, Ricciardo. Kubica, if he returns - I would be rooting for him massively.

 

Wait what. I thought you were a hardcore Max supporter. I'm confused

My favourite Ferrari driver is Kimi

My favourite driver overall... That's a tough one it's between Ricci and Alonso...

 

Alonso by far. Especially lately since he's signing up to race outside of F1 as well. I think it's beyond awesome.

 

Ricci and Kimi. Ricci because he has a very sunny disposition. Kimi, because he's Kimi.

 

I'm a massive Ferrari fanboy so obviously Vet and Kimi. However, Max and Alonso are always great to watch.

 

Big fan of his raw talent, attitude good for a young chap, but hope he won't take after his father.

Ricciardo for his attitude and lunging overtakes. Great guy, and owns a brewery.

Kimi for being Kimi, one of my true heroes. Between Kimi and Ric I'd struggle to choose one to have beers with.

Vettel I've supported since he came to F1, Has his faults, he's the most Schumacher like in his dedication to the teams he raced for etc.
