I was screwing around with watch stuff last week and I ordered a set of custom milled end pieces and a black croc strap for my vintage diamond dialed 1601. I put them on today. I haven't decided if I like it or not. I've included a "before" picture of it on the Rolex Jubilee bracelet. What do you guys think? . Image Unavailable, Please Login . I am not a fan of the end pieces. Prefer the strap without it. I've been looking at Rubber-B strap for my BLNR (the one with the blue-line), and during my searches, an ebay vendor with lookalike strap came up (looks exactly like the Rubber B, but no markings, so its technically not a counterfeit- a homage?). Only $35 instead of $250 for the Rubber B, so I went ahead and ordered one. It's waiting for me at home. I'll post up a picture tonight. Hopefully its pretty decent, as I think $250 for a rubber strap is freaking outrageous.
Here's a few pics. It was a bear to put on, but looks nice. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! It's one of those pieces that you know will be with you forever each time you look at/pick it up.
We had a nasty freeze here last night. The ice on the fountain was an inch thick. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Back on Sub bracelet today. As much as I like leather, rubber, etc straps, I always come back to the bracelet. So comfortable, and just looks right. The brushed links and glidelock of the bracelet go great with this watch, and IMHO should be what the watch came with. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I've never been a huge Rolex fan, (excellent watch, just not my cup of tea), but this vintage watch in this setting and lighting is gorgeous!
