I’m sorry but Yishih’s constant ad policing and the new “rules” are just silly—and part of what happened here it seems. I’m sure glad the “commercial” ads were moved out of the “regular” classifieds. (sarcasm id you can’t tell.). All 68 of the ads there would have really prevented me from seeing ads from the regular joes selling here. Shame this happened.
We instituted new classified rules for several reasons. The main change was that we placed ad limits based on subscription level since we had a lot of abuse. After these rule changes the moderation team routinely combined ads to keep users within ad limits. I don't know if that is why the ad was merged, I am guessing that is what happened. Having said the, claiming the ad merge as a reason for the confusion is not valid. Paypal ruled against the OP after a long period of time, and apparently after protracted correspondence. I have asked refarri to post the Paypal correspondence and he has not. It would seem that dialog would clear him, and also create the case for him to ask for the return of the faulty goods, on his dime or the buyer's. I suspect there is a reason he hasn't posted the dialog. And then we have the separate issue VetroresinaNL raised, where he bought something from refarri and it was never delivered, nor was a refund.
I don't have any 'dialogue' from PayPal other than a case was opened by the buyer..I wasn't told by the buyer..didn't see any correspondence from PayPal as I was not checking my PayPal account (hadn't any need to) and so because I didn't reply within the time limit they ruled for the buyer ! Simple as that. As I've TRIED to say before though I don't have a problem with the ruling just that the buyer didn't return the item or contact me or reply to ANY messages leaving me no choice but to post here as suggested by FC ...! I got response from the buyer..and also it seems the rest of the world
Message from PayPal.. Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding (PP-006-053-075-037). Please note that I have offered the buyer that we split cost of the return of the kit.. STILL no response ! No response to ANY message for 2 months ! Nothing has changed !! He still has my toolkit .. And the money !
Have you offered to pay 100% for shipping? If I return something I buy from Amazon, I get an RMA and a shipping label on the seller's dime.
I’ve purchased a few items on fchat After reading this thread I some how feel thankful that they went so well. Ughhh
Seems to me to be very simple Buyer purchased something advertised as excellent or very good condition. Item received after payment and was not as advertised. Seller failed to adequately describe goods. Communication broke down due to abuse. Buyer acted in good faith. Seller needs to pay to return goods. DJ
He sold the same toolkit in the photo to VetroresinaNL and he paid for it and never received it.......This refarri has extremely poor communication skills.....Hence this whole thing happening.......I have bought many things from our great community in Fchat, the last being a set of fabspeed headers........All my dealings have been awesome except with this person who seems to come with prior history.......I will say it again I don't respond to threats and abuse when I have been ripped off........You can pay for the packing and postage and I am more than happy to send it back......it's a POS missing tools , Broken , badly repaired and mouldy.....Why is he still allowed on here ?.....He can do his thing on eBay as he brings zero value to this great community.......
Well, I've kept out of this as I usually leave it to the opposing parties to sort it out. However, as refarri seems to be deflecting any which way he can, including quoting PMs from myself, perhaps I should fill in a few blanks. - This all started because VetroresinaNL complained about a toolkit transaction with refarri back in April this year and I took on the job of moderating the complaint. - refarri complained that what VetroresinaNL posted was libel, further that it should not even be allowed on this site as "For your information the sale was a private one and absolutely nothing to do with FerrariChat". - He also asserted multiple times "I have no wish to have a public spat on the forum regarding this situation as I feel it would be unprofessional and unnecessary" in response to my suggestion that it would be in his best interests to state his side clearly and openly. - The accusation that refarri was being libeled resulted in VetroresinaNL posting a screenshot of the bank transaction paying refarri. refarri's response was to demand its removal as he asserted it contained personal information. I refused as it seemed to me that accommodating a demand to remove the screenshot also removed Vetroresina's right to offer proof against refarri's libel charge. - He then repeated his attempts to get the complaint off Fchat with "However as I have said I feel that posting all of this on the forum is unprofessional and I have no wish to 'air dirty washing in public ' as we say. This transaction was never initiated on this site." and "If the buyer has an issue with me he can contact me personally to sort it." I continued to refuse, as even if the toolkit transaction with VetroresinaNL was not initiated on the site (which seemed a doubtful assertion given the many toolkit ads refarri had posted), the site feels that Fchat users are entitled to post complaints or plaudits about any user experience pertinent to Ferraris or autos. - After failing to gain much ground with this tack, refarri then started complaining that "Further more this person 'Vetroresina' is actively preventing me from selling anything on this forum by adding the same libelous 'fraud' remark to every ad I post ! How can this be within the guidelines of the forum ?" - Receiving this complaint, I reviewed all refarri's ads, to see whether he was getting slammed on "every ad". The answer was no, it was one other ad which was a duplicate of the thread VetroresinaNL complained about. My perception was that refarri created the second thread in order to avoid having VetroresinaNL's complaint present on the ad thread. I told him "First it was one thread that duplicated the item he complained about not "every thread". Next, your thread is in fact a violation of a rule against duplicate threads. As a result I've reviewed all your past threads and many of your threads are duplicates of existing threads. Your new thread was deleted as a repeat of a previous thread. Any ads that are repetitions of previous ads are subject to deletion or merging with previous ads." - So refarri himself instigated the examination that resulted in the threads being merged and the merges only took place within each model type toolkit and only because most of his ads were a couple of lines consisting of "Toolkit for sale. Please PM me for pics and price". As we were instituting a new set of ad rules at that time, including reducing redundant and bumped ads, establishing compliance had a higher priority than usual. All this was explained to him, but refarri continued to complain that these were different toolkits. Even if true, refarri was completely free to post in each of his multiple sale threads that he had different toolkits for the model and whether any specific toolkit was available should be checked with him. He chose not to. - Finally we get to this thread, where it is apparent that refarri no longer feels that it is "unprofessional to air dirty washing in public". None of this suggests which side is right or wrong, but it does suggest that what goes around, comes around.
Your own presentation of evidence shows that PayPal thinks you have poor communication... "Sellers who don't respond to our requests for information within the specified timeframe" At 1st I was agreeing that the item should be sent back, but at your cost for misrepresenting. Your ad is misleading. It says "as new" and crud like that. Granted that's the multiple listings on 1 thread which is misleading. I personally like eBay cause I'm protected by the fact that I believe you'd have like a 73% rating and I would know to run away and find another seller. I have trouble convincing myself to buy from anyone below 99.5% I for one will not be a future customer of yours.
I love the separation myself and yes it keeps me from seeing private ads cause I have to listen to the used car ads, some quite annoying. Sometimes no price listed and static given for asking. I think the separation was the best thing that happened here...
No, I don't think it should be deleted. Many sales occur between members of this site, and it is of value to the community to be aware of this unfortunate situation.
I bought a Ferrari here via personal check. Bought it sight unseen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have politely offered to pay 100% for the return of MY item that the member still has. The member has still not replied despite trying to contact him both on here and Email ! What do I do ? What would you do ? Refarri
As an aside. FC does not generally delete posts or threads unless they violate FC policy or the TOU. D
I am still awaiting my 1000 euro from Refarri.... for the toolkits I paid for and he still owns of maybe already sold on.... After all what happened, why should the seller react to your communication at this point. You .....d up. Life goes on.
