Does anyone else name their Ferrari?

I named my 458 Francesca. My kids call it "daddy's girlfriend". Pisses my wife off something awful, lol. Anybody else or am I the only geek out there that names their Ferrari?

 

Nope. I don't personify my car.

 

Most of my cars have names, but nothing human or pet-like:
Grigio, Spider, Dozer, the Wreck.

My black 456M had the name "Silkesvarten", (Norwegian for "Silky Black", a common name for black running horses. The 1983 Quattroporte is "Don Scugliaro", a proper mafia boss name.

My blue 550 is "Blue Baby", and my blue Jag XK8 conv. is just "James".

After my Grandmother....

 

"Bellissima" or "Bella" for short.

When I'm mad which is like never.. "b****".

 

Nice...Bellissima means "very or really beautiful"

 

I named my 456M Elly May because it was originally sold out of Ferrari of Beverly Hills.

 

I name all my vehicles, guess its just something I grew up with. My mom said it comes from the farm life and personalizing your items that provide your income so you treat it better and it harkens back to when everything was horse drawn. I said ok whatever mom, back in the day. Now of course i wind up naming my cars..........

 

Nope, just "The Fezza" or "360", "The Merc" and "The Alfa".

My Gt4 has been Beatrice , Pronounced [ Bay a trichay ] in Italian. From the movie Il Postino. Now I call it the Whore of Modena after the past two years resto.

Usually "THE car" or the hot rod. But I've thought of naming it "Hanna" after my grandmother who throughout my entire life always got me something Ferrari related for birthdays and Christmas.

 

I don't name my cars - but the 308 is generally referred to as 'the big red car' (as distinct from my little red 500).

 

Strangely enough, over the years, I've gotten to the point where I rarely give names to anything anymore... My Bahama Blue Brabus SLK was called Bahamut. The AMG after that was called Slicky, and the Miata was called Mimix (lol). The Ferrari is... well, I just call it the Red Beast (not much imagination left in this mind of mine), and the Lotus... haven't given it a name at all. It's just the Elise for me *shrug*

 

Only named in personalized license plates. But I just say I'm going to take the red car.

 

I, like most males with testosterone, named my wife's entourage, so naturally my car has a name, it is "my baby". ( PS! Please don't let my wife see this, or I'll be in the doghouse through 2018)....
