Starship just now flew over heading about 350, about a minute ago.

Headed for Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, Broomfield, CO (KBJC).

(Same message as 4 years ago - see above? Yes. Same plane, same heading same destination... just flew over my Denver office... very distinctive sound. Fast and beautiful.)

Has to be... flies out of RMA fairly often. Too high to read the N number.

Robert Sherer (RS) It's ship #51. He owns a warehouse full of SS parts.

Was sitting at ADS a few months ago watching the traffic. The Starship landed and the next in was the 737. I left after that as there was really no more to be seen that day!

Having seen and heard Wayne Dench's Starship several times, years ago, I would say that's a good analogy. Either that, or a "swarm of angry hornets!"

Yes, sort of... SS flew over again last week to Rocky Mountain... can tell what it is without even going outside.

So in the profile picture what is up with the long antenna running almost the entire length of the upper fuselage?

I'm going to guess either HF, or some sort of lightning strike protection.

    Don't think that's the case...

    from Starship literature:

    "LIGHTNING PROTECTION SCHEME
Lightning protection was achieved using a hybrid woven graphite/aluminum fabric as the surface ply in all exterior surfaces . The aluminum wires used are 0.004s in diameter and are capable of spreading the attachment energy over a larger surface, thus limiting damage from a 200 kA strike to the outer ply.

Just now I’m sitting at the dining table and hear a peculiar whine approaching. Not familiar with it but whatever it is is coming in fast as the volume grows quickly.

I bound to the window just as it passes directly overhead. Double rear props and front canard! Heading due south.

    A remaining Starship?

    Very cool.

More likely to be a Piaggio, but could be a Starship.

Whatever happened to the member here who owns 2 Starships? He posted in the "Show your Plane" thread but I think never again?

Saw a SS land in Sandpoint, Idaho in 1993. Speaking of noise. A Boeing 787 came over our place this morning at maybe 300 ft. heading for KPAE. I didn't move fast enough to see it but it was in landing config and the RAT sounded twice as loud as the airplane. Almost like a giant T-6 on steroids. We're south of the field and close to northbound final.
