went over today to pick up my 430 and they have a euro F40 on display. i am guessing it is a 90 or 91. does anybody know who it belongs to?
well this was a euro. to my eye it was not an early one (but could be wrong), so if it is a 90-91, it can only recently have come into this country (easily).
Mr. Risi usually puts one of many interesting cars into his collection, IIRC his F40 is Lemans specification. My son took a picture of it,when the 599GTB Tour arrived in town He has an unused 575 Maranello, Lemans GT spec, as ell, yes a 288GTO, the black 512BBi is his.....first, or last of most of the models he has the foresight to tuck it away. That Euro may be a customer car, ask Joe Maniaci for the scoop!!
This F40 is a 1990 model year with 15,396 KM. It was a direct factory delivery in August 1990. It is a One-Owner (with Ferrari of Houston as the current owner) F40 and is offered with complete restoration and Ferrari Classiche at $1.3m. We are beginning our remodel and most likely this F40 will relocate to one of our warehouses today 11/16 or tomorrow. Image Unavailable, Please Login
seems to me the only way this was delivered as a euro version in 1990, is that it was never registered for the road. must have only been used on track
It was not used on the track. The F40 was brought into the US on an Italian Visa more than 20 years ago and occasionally driven legally (in the early 90's) on the street with Italian plates. The F40 now has a Texas title. Ryan
Mattress Mack of Gallery Furniture finally polished the fingerprints off from display all those years, and sold it. He had a TR too (Made a commercial with it)..
Always impressed with what you can manage to do when you own a dealership! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
