Thanks Ryan! The weather was certainly right this week and weekend in the Bay area! I am excited to see your book soon! Any inside scoop on when you think it will begin to ship? https://parabolicapress.com/collections/books/products/porsche-turbo-3-0-book
Following a few pictures that testify to the (slow) progress we are making on my 1975 ... Metal-work should be almost complete. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone else have one of these Porsche Tartan blankets? This one is 100% wool with red Porsche script. I believe the black watch tartan pattern is slightly different than what was introduced with the 1975 Turbos and appears to match the pattern that was on the 1973 911 Turbo prototype. I’ve discussed with Ryan and we thought maybe 1980s? but I can’t find any reference in any catalog. Any ideas? Would also like to find one of these in red MacLaughlan Tartan if they exist. New to the ownership group as I have merely been searching/lurking for a long time. I just purchased a black, black sport seat, lsd, single mirror, original California blue plate, 1977 Turbo Carrera (9307800454). Owned for the last few years by a guy up in Cupertino who purchased as a 'garage find' of sorts. Currently sitting at 18,8xx miles as the car was in hibernation most of its life up until a few years ago. I am in Oceanside, Ca and would love to get some insight on how to improve/preserve the car best. It is very stock except for euro exhaust and unfortunately the original paint has seen better days. 1977 Turbo posted on cars and classic UK…seldom seen front seat leather color with red MacLaughlan Tartan dress. The seats appear to be a combination of ‘75/76 and ’77 versions...perhaps a result of the restoration. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C927960 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 1973 Frankfurt 911 Turbo prototype did have the lollipop seats w/ black watch tartan. Its hard to say if the car still has original seats since it was modified so many times in the past. From recent photos, it has incorrect RSR door panel straps installed vs. G Series 1974 door handles that were originally installed. nice color pic of the wooden mock up turbo intake plumbing... those lollipops looks to be mounted closer together on the n/a motor rebuild than originally when shown in 73-74 frankfurt/paris ? it dosent look like there is any room for the ebrake anymore?
thanks for the heads-up! I wrote to them right away but they don't have it. Unless I get lucky I will 3d - print one and equip it with the correct thermistor...
Hi Sorry for the gratuitous blatant commercial post, but i wondered if you guys knew you could get the Pirelli P7 again for the 930 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-cinturato/p7.html There are more 15" P7 tyres coming for wider rims in the near future
My rear lid was not in best condition, so I decided to take off and paint it. Some interesting Fotos from the inside with handwritten markings from production, which of course will not be painted over! Now trouble finding the right paint, but Porsche Germany is on the matter - love how responsive they are at Porsche Germany.. PS who knows where the black rubber stripe around the lid can be found or who it could be recreated? I assume that is original!?
Eagle County Sheriff's Posse plate topper made cameo appearances in both the 1974 and 1975 Porsche Parades. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Two 930 3.0 that showed up for sale recently in Europe. Not quite sure about the originality of the green one... http://ruylclassics.nl/ClassicCars/porsche-911-turbo-3-0-coupe-april-1977/?taal=EN http://www.auxchateauxdusudouest.com/porsche-911-type-930-3-0-litres-turbo-1976-156.html
On the red 77 ^^ Option "M 347 Erhöhte Lenkradnabe" Never seen that before, something I wish my car would have. It would have also protected my dash from the finger nails of previous owners Is there any prior record to this?
