I am trying to go in order of the episodes and not skip straight to the ST ones. Really interested to hear what he has to say.

Dario Franchitti reciting rap lyrics is one of the best things ever.

Funny, I almost said the same thing as I try to stay in order. I do admit to skipping 1 or 2 people I've barely heard of.

I agree but with a couple of small gripes - the sound quality is sometimes not so good especially when more than one is speaking, the sound effects are sometimes too loud but the main thing is insider B$ - there is just a little bit too much of the inside joke kind of thing that leaves anyone who is not a paddock regular scratching their head.

I have to agree. From the first season, I knew of Bill Riley for his car designing and what not but assumed he wouldn't be very interesting.

How wrong I was, Bill was a good story teller. that episode is one of my favorites from all three seasons.

Never heard of Dr Jerry Punch but I really enjoyed listening to that ep on the way to work this morning.

Being from STL, Dorsey Schroeder was one of my racing idols. His episode is epic.

I had no idea he was such a dirtbag  :D

Dorsey stayed a few times with an ex-business partner of mine. Oh, the stories that could be told.

So you're saying you didn't know that Johnny O'Connell tried to kill Dario Franchitti?

Oh, come on, EVERYBODY knows about that... don't they? Just like everyone knows that Spencer Pumpelly tried to kill a guy.

I am listening to that one now.

Robin Miller's episode was one of my favorites.

Going back to the beginning of this thread - unsavory people in racing - you should have seen the list of off shore power boat racing owners when I was involved in the 80's - would make motor racing bad guys look like peanuts

I loved that episode. Miller impersonating Unser had me in tears.

Haven't got to the Season 3 episodes yet, but I do look forward to that one. Janet Guthrie had nothing good to say about him, going so far as to say that perhaps if she was a better Christian she might forgive him.

Very curious as to whether that comes up, but don't spoil it for me!

Question: since there are obviously a few fans here, should we have a Dinner With Racers thread?

Then send Eversley and Heckman a link to it and deny them access just to mess with them? Hey, Bill Riley would do it if he could...

    I remember that. Hilarious.

IIRC it was after Buckler stiffed him on some PR fees (?)

Yes I believe that's what started it. Unfortunately there are many in racing, as in other businesses, who are great spenders of other people's money and extremely tight-fisted with their own.

Given how they like to ***** about forum posts, perhaps if we complain enough about our free podcast they will read it.

Rob, Rob, how on earth did you miss this? LOL - okay, okay, I may have been closer to it knowing people who were affected by the protagonist. One of my friends once said "racing is a small world, you can't afford to burn bridges. There's only one man in racing who I will badmouth..."
