Tv goes in the cut out to the right. That wall will be red... Disco ball going in the other area with the lift. Robb
Heading to Los Angeles for a photo shoot on Tuesday. If any tifosi would like to grab lunch Wednesday prior to Turkey day, I am available... Robb
What variety of lift are you installing? Two post or four post? Also curious as to what clearances you are allowing from the lift posts to adjacent walls... Looks awesome!
Two post asymmetrical Challenger lift with 9k pound capacity. I can’t remember but probably 3-4 feet away from the side wall. Mohawk was a bit more expensive and that color..... could not be changed. Sorry but that color totally blows... I went with........ red. Robb
No, they are a rust color red. The color sucks, the paint sucks, they don't pack them for sh*t (so they come beat up and look like a used lift), the company sucks but they are a very good lift Image Unavailable, Please Login
“Rust is a red-orange-brown color resembling iron oxide.” No wrong answer on this one. We can all agree it’s not Rosso Corsa! I like the Mohawk lifts. My mechanic has 2 or 3. Just could not get over the color or get a custom one... and it was quite a bit more expensive. The local reps and installers sell the Mohawk and challenger. For my needs, the challenger looked good. Can’t wait to see it installed in the next month. Robb
Robb - what did I tell you when you stressed how bad you wanted a Mohawk? I said, if your ceiling is high enough, a Mohawk is a waste and quite honestly a rip off. It's a good lift that fit a low ceiling niche market. Had I known I was going to raise my ceiling, I would not have bought one and after dealing with them, I would not again - horrible customer service.
Well, sometimes a company makes a good product but they don't provide good support. If I was running Mohawk the first think I would do is get a water jet and a powder coat line. They burn cut all the plates and they have horrible slag on them. They, they spray paint them. so, I guess the design is very good and it's a tank of a lift. So, I like it very much from that stand point. Sorry - going far to O/T on Robb's thread.
Painters are back in today with some Ferrari red paint for an accent wall... And some silver for decorative shelf displays. Exterior this week so getting closer to trim fitting, doors, and cabinets. Robb
The new owner of my Yellow F355 is looking for a set of challenge rims so if you have a set for sale, send me a pm and I will connect you both. Robb
Your garage will put an official Ferrari showroom to shame! Very very nice. Please keep the pictures coming.
I was wrong on the exterior color. It’s called Teddy Bear... Lot of progress recently. Exterior painted, trim stained. Exterior coach lights in. Two of the garage doors are in. One door to go. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rear of doors and metal work is powder coated white to keep it clean looking. This one in the daily drive side. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
