Did I see correct? Did I see that Cavallino is now charging $200 for spectators to the concorso on Saturday?

I used to go when the price was reasonable, but they lost me when they doubled the admission to $150. Now it appears that they are getting even more ridiculous.

If I go, I think I'll just hang around the other parking area, where in past years I've seen cars like a Bugatti Veyron and a Pagani Huayra, without paying a penny!

    Here we go again! :)

    Earlier than usual though.

Seriously, let's try and stem off this year's "Cavallino is too expensive" thread. It's really getting stale.

Believe me, as a normal guy on a budget I can understand how some might balk at $200. I will say though that when compared to other events it still is worth it IMO. It is THE premiere Ferrari only venue in the entire country in a gorgeous setting. There really is no other place that you can see the level of caliber Ferraris all in one place.

Hell, look what it costs to go to Monterey. Have you priced the Quail? What's Amelia at now?

If you are indeed on a shoestring budget you can sit in the Breakers parking lot for free and watch all the cars enter the green in addition to a small "show" in the valet lot.

I'd also wager most here spend more than $200 on a meal. So in perspective is it really all that much to see some of the World's greatest Ferraris?

    Just my two cents! :)

I agree- we have the same debate every year. Bottom line- no one forces you to attend, so if you're disinclined to ante up, stay home.
IMHO this event (Cavallino Classic in its entirety, not just the concorso) is still one of the highlights of my year, so I'll be there for the 27th year in a row- to each, his/her own.
