Upon looking though this thread it's been on here before and is apparently number 40068 when it was for sale in Japan in 2007. Has it been seen since?

40068 spun on the Metropolitan Expressway and was left in the parking lot for 10 years. It was was bought by an automotive repair shop called System Science in June 2007 and in 2014 was reported to be at TMG Auto in Chiba Prefecture. This image is from a Japanese website, safely indoors now, but I cannot be certain of the location or the date, or indeed its current state.

Nothing I am able to share except for this one, taken when I located the car in February 2012 but it looks just the same as it did when it featured in Auto Capital...

Pirelli are showing a P7 Corsa wet 285 40 15 tyre on their website. Scroll down to 'Collezione' to see them. It has a similar tread pattern to the Yokahama. I have sent them a message and await a response...

    Hi Ivor,

Yes I know about these but they are actually 26/61 tyres with semi slick treads.

26/61 = 285 40 15 they are the same... race tire size translate to the more common street nomenclature

ivor , you might try Demon Tweeks near Manchester. they carry P7 corsa classics. nothing as tiny as a 195 50 15 for fronts but rears should fit. 235 45 15 might fit in front? the TB's are listed at 215 55 15 but folks who have measured them say the are closer to 235 mounted on 9in wheels and ive seen tb's on silhouettes. jalpas on bravo's ran with wider 205s i believe but there wheel flares are larger too.

the pirelli web sight is incorrect on the tire dia specs. but you can deduce the height of the tire by the circumference given.

    best of luck!

I am in the lucky position of not needing tyres at present but Yokohama stopped producing theirs a while ago now so I am interested to find an alternative supply of 285/40 15s. Yes the the TBs are indeed the correct size but they are a race tyre and I consider them to be unsuitable for the Silhouette from an appearance and a wear point of view.

If you do not know, the Lamborghini Museum was refurbished last week.

It is with great joy that I notice for the first time Silhouette VIN # 40.054 of our friend Stefano Pasini .... it has found its place in the Lamborghini Museo.

For obscure reasons, the previous Top Management had banned this model from the Museo, depriving the public for more than 10 years of the Culture and History of our favorite brand.

Thank you Stefano Domenicali for this come back !

Great news. 40054 was damaged by flood waters after it was last removed from the Museo. It has been restored and I'm very happy to see its back.

Yes indeed, great to see 40054 returned to its rightful place as an important part of the pre-Mimran company history.

Meanwhile here is another Silhouette in the a museum looking for a bit of love. This is 40026, the homologation car, images sent to me by the Merrick motor museum in Alda Nebraska in 2010... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
