The Finest Ferrari? That is what Forza Magazine posted on the cover of their November 2001 edition, along with a picture of a 550 Maranello with the exact color and options combination that I am offering for sale. With a September 2001 build date, maybe its the same car? To be even considered the finest Ferrari ever built at this point in Ferrari's history is a great honor for this highly collectible car. With only 9425 original miles, this is absolutely the best example of a 550 Maranello being offered in the country right now! First a little about this car. It was delivered November 13, 2001, one of the last few made. It is shown in a Grigio Titanio metallic paint. There is not a ding, scratch or any issues at all on this car. The interior is stunning! It has a two-tone leather interior consisting of Charcoal and Nero. The carpets are Nero as well. No wear on bolsters or seats. All sticky parts were professional refinished or replaced with OEM parts. Everything is original including the radio and cd changer. There is also a set of the original factory mats in ponzi blue that compliments the inside color combination perfectly. It looks like it just rolled out of the factory! The factory installed options include; Modular sport wheels (original on this car), Daytona style power seats, in Charcoal with Nero Stripes Diamond leather rear shelf in Charcoal Diamond leather head liner in Charcoal Factory optioned red painted brake calipers After factory option is an x-Pel clear bra along with a professional paint correction. Mechanically the car is also sound as new. Brand new Michelin Pro Sport tires were just installed less than 400 miles ago. The car currently has a tubi exhaust system. However, the original exhaust system is included with the car. As far as service goes, this car received a full major service including belt change, cam rings and gaskets November of 2016. All fluids were changed. All filters were replaced. The car was gone through from top to bottom by a certified Ferrari shop in Costa Mesa, California. All this work was performed approximately 300 miles ago. Complete service records come with the car. It has a clean car fax with no accidents or paint work. The car comes with all the original books, manuals, tools, two keys, three Fobs, the Original window sticker showing all the options, dealer delivery papers, silk car, seats and steering wheel cover, emergency light with the original leather case. There is nothing this car is missing or needs. It is perfect and ready to enjoy immediately! Rob, I'm glad to see that you've kept the car so nice, are you replacing it with something else? I recently had a gentleman approach me at a Porsche show asking if I still owned the car and was interested in selling it, when I told him that I sold it and was now residing in CA. He was disappointed. If I run in to him again I will let him know that it's on the market and try to send him your way. HK
Thanks Howard. I sold my 458 after I bought this car and really miss it. I want to purchase a 488 in the spring. I think the hype is starting to die down on them and with the first models being two years old it might be the right time for me.
This pristine example lives right next door to me and I get to lay eyes on it on a regular basis. I also get to hear her roar to life on the occasional Sunday morning when Rob takes her out for a little exercise. This car is the REAL DEAL and one of the very, very, very best in the country. Just a delight to look at and appreciate. Oh yeah, I know my 550's too!
It is gorgeous, wish I were in the market for it. Good luck with sale. Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
...I own nearly your twin...mine has a full factory carbon fiber packages...no blck stripes on daytona seats though...fabulous timeless design...last of the v12 gated cars...it's a shame you can't keep her...glws
Superb. Finally a top example on the market! Neither the auction/car sale sites (ebay, cars.com, BAT), high caliber auctions (RM, Gooding, Bonhams), nor private sellers (with the exception of Rob's beautiful 550 earlier this year) have had a car of this quality publicly available. And that's over the last 5 years of a hot market. Very refreshing to see one of the very, very few spectacular 550's. And when they're this good, they're magnificent. Good luck! -Joe
