GTSs are very sad excuses for Ferraris ..... a big reflection on their owner's look-at-me style of driving Challenge owners don't have to rev the tits off their engine to get the REAL F1 noise ..... although they do sound good changing up at over 9000 ......... so I've heard
Sounds like a problem I had with my left hand turn indicators. The major earth above the radiator was loose. When it got hot, the earth went high resistance. Any F1 earths above the radiators? (e.g. The "deck lid latch" earth is above/slightly outboard of one of the radiators). The PO forgot to tighten up the earth bolt after he did a major on the car.
Actually, now that I think about it, only the light earths are there. The latch earth is close to the latch. The harness for the latch and lights are common, though.
That sounds like a bad connection in the wiring somewhere clutch/actuators etc. Electrical resistance increases with temperature. A weak connection will work when cold, then send the wrong signal when hot. Disconnect everything, inspect the terminals and the individual wires going to each spade inside the plugs. If I'd done that, I'd have found my problem in 15 minutes, instead of 3 months.
Well, at least this clip is of my actual car, and not someone else’s. Turn the volume up to 11 and enjoy. Ignore the appalling picture quality. Btw. It was before the Tubi headers were installed.
They’re not. The fastest changes only occur in sport mode above 6000rpm with foot flat to the floor, which was not the case in that clip. I look forward to doing a proper vid soon. Amazing that my phone would do a better job of recording that than the $2000 DSLR which recorded that vid 3 years ago.
Fixed I wasn’t driving. It was the one and only time I let my brother drive it without me sitting next to him. Won’t happen again...
I let my brother drive my car about 6 months ago and while we were sitting at the lights some dopey woman had forgotten to put her handbrake on and she lived on a very steep driveway, the car rolled down the hill towards us with no-one in it, missed us by mere millimetres and crashed into the traffic lights. My brother looked at me and said "Close ???"
