    Looking for ANY acorn nuts - 14MM tall for my inside plug engine

    Need 1 or 40 - any quantity is appreciated

    Would appreciate anyone looking thru their stash of old stuff to find a few.

    Ill get them cleaned and replaced.....

    they are 6mm by 1.0

    my engine has a mix of them and the ones that are correct are corroded and pitted....

    Appreciate any help....the key is the height 14MM

    A while back, I went to a Honda motorcycle dealer and found some acorn nuts identical to those on my GTC.
    I believe they were 6X1.0.

    Back when originality wasn't alive, I used to buy them at the local hardware store, in chrome finish. They were a trifle short, so I would double-washer them. I think the correct finish is flat, so (later) I would just use silver spray paint. Closer, but still not correct. Have you tried Newco?

    Yes i did talk to Neil at Newco, his seem to apply to late 250 motors and 330 motors and others I'm sure....they take a small height nut for those years.

    The inside plug ones at almost 14MM, like 13.5mm in overall height. IT seems the difference is in the nut height which
    measures about 6.5MM .

    I did get a few from your friend Brad Balles....he had a few in his black hole stash and has been helping out on items for the
    Ellena.
