i hate the nart stripe. sticks out like a sore thumb and hides the lines and cuts of the hood.

I (having a modicum of painting talent) can do a stripe for less than $100.

A standard paint shop can copy a NART (capitals) for (way) under $1000, complete with clearcoat, wet-sanded, and rubbed out.

Hell, if you want a stripe, any good customizing shop can replicate the NART stripe or any stripe of your choosing.

If your thinking of the stripe for resale purposes, having someone replicate the stripe would probably devalue a non option stripe car.
The value difference with or without the stripe on a used Speciale is negligible compared to the price of the car.
When spending ridiculous amounts of money on a car, the smartest bet is to get what you like and drive it!

Why not foil the strip on the car that way you can remove it before resale

I didn't like the stripe the first time I saw it , but it grew on me quick - kind of makes it look like a rocket IMO- which it is! In 25 years it will make the model easier to identify, too- which has some semblance of value to me for some reason- kind of feels like I'm driving a future classic car- all adds to the event:)

For me, the stripe is the signature part of the vehicle. It's like a badge. It also looks hot, but then again maybe less refined as I am a younger generation and prefer the sophistication of the vehicle with the icing of a little "racing bad ass" from the stripe.

I own the Speciale and 16M both Rosso Corsa with the stripe.

    A stripe is a must for a Speciale...not so much for Italia/Spider.

Historically, it seems having the stripes/livery has shown to carry a $5-10k premium over non-striped examples of similar condition/mileage. I wouldn't think the Speciale would be any different?

If I was looking for one I'd be holding out for one with a stripe. Personal preference though...there's others that are probably thinking the opposite.

Just like some like the shields and some don't.

Man, the Speciale looks so much better than 488! Don't ever let that one go.

It certainly does even the ferrari dealer could not argue that the 488 is the better car
