    Correct.

I inspected this GTO @ Monterey prior to the Maranello auction, it was okay, the result was all about the miles, or lack thereof.

Seems like it was in not great cosmetic condition, and yet still brought in the money...

I think its the other way around, he deleted the red stripe.

While I concede the GTO looks great in nero, I still am I huge proponent of them remaining as they were originally intended - rosso corsa.

Could be. I wouldn't know. As I remember the red stripe chronology goes: there when delivered to sultan, then no red stripe when it appeared on the dealer's social media pages (I think DK Engineering), then red stripe again when it showed up at the Royal Concours in 2015...

I may have gotten my stories wrong about who added and who deleted the stripe, but fortunately (because I rather like the paint scheme) I think the car now has its red stripe, which is what matters most I guess...

I'll stand corrected then, and like you I can't keep up with all the changes!

This GTO has tires with a tread pattern I have never seen before on a GTO which look more like something you'd see on a more utilitarian vehicle, and it has a supplementary pipe extruding downwards next the gearbox that I have also not seen on another GTO, despite the many examples I have seen.
