After a long run of many horses (360, 430, 430 scud, 458 spider), I've decided to mix things up a bit an take delivery a 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante. Will hopefully be back in an Fcar one day should something down the road tickle my fancy again.

My Performante's bronze Narvi wheels remind me of my 430 scud - which I still miss :(

That is a ridiculous car in a ridiculous color. Ridiculous = good!

    Congrats.

You have had a great lineup of cars... and your latest pic seams to follow suit! Awesome car! I would probably pic the performante over the 488 as well!

Gorgeous car. Exactly like mine except for the wheels.Opted for gloss black. My assessment of the Performante, 488, 720S and why you made a great choice.

Great write up! I agree with pretty much everything you said. The other car I was considering was the 720S but the dealer network is lacking in the PNW.

The Performante is by far the best choice on the current new car market. Congrats and enjoy!

Funny thing , I almost went to the dark side too except I didn’t fit well into the Huracan convertable. I felt it was a great deal of car for 125k less than a 488 spider. Ps . The Lambo dealer offered me 20 k more for my 458 spider than the Fcar dealership.
Great looking rig you purchased , all the best.

The Huracan convertible is very cramped. Much less leg room than the coupe due to accomodating the roof. The coupe is very spacious as is the Performante.

I posted my assessment of the 3 cars at the beginning of this thread. It is very clear as to which one I prefer but as stated, this is a purely subjective account. At this level of excellence, personal preferences and priorities will determine which is the car of choice. I could easily and happily own all or each but for me the Performante provides the rawer, more exhilarating and thrilling driving experience I desire in a super car.

Well my week is not complete unless you post your comparison at least 3x a week. I think this was the third in various posts, so I can sleep tonight.

Post some pics of your car to join the party.

But with as much justification you're doing, it's almost starting to sound like you are over thinking it...maybe regretting it o_O

OP: car looks great and look forward to more shots of it and your thoughts. Hope you get some seat time before Seattle winter.

Excellent review of the Performante, 488, and 720s. I agree that the choice of which car to buy, if you must pick one, comes down to personal factors such as HOW the car will be used (Daily driver vs track car vs weekend motoring), WHY it appeals to you (looks vs performance vs sound) and is it a match for your personality, emotions and desires.

I chose the 488 Spider because my car MUST be a convertible (720s out). It will be used daily so needs a little refinement (Performante out). I am 6’4” and 205 # so Performante too tight. In the end, the Performante is too loud, too raw, and too draining to be anywhere but the race track. The 720s is a wonder of performance but lacks the “fun factors” of toplessness and engaging driving.

All 3 are superb cars, the only question, really, is which one is right for YOU?
