No, but now that the question has been raised I believe I will. "Valentina" has a nice 488 ring to it.

I just decided to name my 360 is Miss Moneypenny. Because it's going to take all my money, plus a penny, to restore it to concours show car condition. :)

A slight play on words, but I named My 348 TS: "Fi" - Because Fi's always cost you money!

(Think along the lines of: Fee's always cost you money!)

Black Beauty for my Nero California. Thought of changing her to Black Booty after all the negative chatter about her rear boot but I prefer the former. She’s beautiful.

I rented a F430 Spider for two days and I named her Rosalita during my time with her.

Actually I've never had to call the 360 anything but 360 because it has behaved impeccably. However this year the Alfa gave me grief and as such "****, Bastard, ****ing piece of Italian sheite" etc

You need two of something to need names to distinguish them.
So my cars are the EVO, the Alfa, and the 328. (Because "the Ferrari" sounds pretentious for an old one ;))

When I had multiple Alfas, they were the Spider and the Alfetta, or the Spider and the GTV6.
Now that the GTV6 is gone, the Spider is just the Alfa, again.

When I first bought the Alfa, many moon ago, I was looking to put "ANDIAMO" tags on it.
But the only state that would allow that many letters had already issued "andiamo" -- to a Mercedes. (go figure ;)).

I always try to name my cars. However, I never named my maranello as I wasn't much of a fan of it.

My TR is Caroline. SL500 is Ms. Westin named after my smoking hot elementary school gym teacher who would show up to school in one in the early 90s. (It was her grandfather's who also happened to live in our neighborhood). And my E38 7 series is Suge Knight because it is Imola red and looks like a car he would drive. (He did have a black 750il which is an infamous car). That's the only car I have used a male name for.

I only name the old ones. It takes a while for a thing of metal, glass, and leather to take on a personality of its own--but I'm convinced that happens eventually. Then it needs a name. I never consciously plan the name either, it just comes to me, and I know when I have it right. My Ferrari has a name, yes, because she's 32 years old, and deserves one. It must suit her too, because my wife and my sons, and even several close friends of ours refer to her by that appellation. Seems less pretentious in casual conversation to talk about taking so-and-so out, instead of going for drive in "The Ferrari"--like you were taking your dear old Auntie out for lunch or something.

Here's a question to ponder though: when you sell a car that you have named (and presumably loved) to a new caretaker, do you pass on the name, or let them come up with their own? I've always kept it to myself, and then later wondered the crazy thought, *I wonder if they call her the same thing?* What if she whispers it to them in some way during one of their first drives together? Wouldn't that be interesting. Myself, I would probably accept a previous owner's name for a car, unless I thought it was absolutely terrible.

Don't think I'll pass on "My Black Mistress" to her new owner. "She takes your money and you get screwed" just isn't a selling point.

We named all our cars after Fast and Furious characters. The 360 was boss and was named Dom. My wives blue skyline was Brian of course.
