    I mostly listen to Serious XM. 80's on 8 and 1st Wave channels. A dj mentioned the band Chilliwack and played one of their songs. So started listening to them on my phone synced to my radio in the car. Technology sometimes can be cool.

    Just shocked by the news! Dead at 62. Was glad to have seen The Smithereens. Drove from Orlando to Atlanta, where they were playing in a festival at Olympic Park. Then later, at BB King's club in NYC. Their music had a certain urgency that appealed to me.
