That's my stupid joke. They designed the Kamm tail in the 1960's and came up with the Kamm front end in the 2000's. They really need to make noses on cars sleeker again, and it can be done even with the new regulations. That Lotus was pretty nice.
i love the 64 lincoln too. (i also had that '95 M5 - one of my favs) but my intention was current production cars - i should have specified at the start.
For my the most beautiful modern car is the Tesla Model S, with the Guila a close second. Image Unavailable, Please Login For a 'Classic' car, the `64 Lincoln Continental is a great choice, I also like the Lagonda Rapide, my favorite is the Cadillac V16 though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't know that there is a modern 4-door that one might call "beautiful." Some aren't bad, however. The Kia Stinger isn't too bad. Like most modern cars, it suffers from Louis Armstrong syndrome, but at least the rest of the car isn't too cluttered. Image Unavailable, Please Login The Genesis G80 looks pretty good. I don't much care for the fake-Audi grill, and the under-grill area is a bit cluttered, but it's better than the Satchmo styling so many others have gone to. The Audi S6 manages to have the Satchmo look along with the trademarked Audi Widemouth Bass look, but overall, it's not bad. At least the flanks are clean and taught. Image Unavailable, Please Login Alfa's Satchmo treatment is even less offensive than Audi's, but the ass looks a bit like my aunt's. Image Unavailable, Please Login I wasn't a fan of the conflicting lines on the sides of the '69 Doge Charger, and I'm no more a fan of them on the current Cadillacs, but the AT6 does manage to look fairly eloquent despite them. Image Unavailable, Please Login The 2018 Mercedes, on the other hand, manages to out Kia the Stinger when it comes to clutter up front, and out Charger the Cadillac when it comes to conflicting lines on its flanks. Ross, 5th generation Why is it normal in the US to skip the two first generations of Quattroporte ? This is often common practice but it always make me wonder where the two first generations went and why they don't count.
sorry. my mistake. i usually only think about the 2 squared off ones. but in any case, this is the one i like!
No mention of the E38? The 2001 BMW 750iL Sport is one of the most beautiful sedans ever produced, in my opinion. Though it does take second to the original Aston Rapide; however, the BMW's back seat is far more spacious.

I was going to say the Duesenberg Model J 4 door, but those are all coachbuilt and not really production. As far as production, I would have to go with the 2001 Alpina B12 6.0. I love the look of the E38 sedan and I think the Alpina changes suit it well. If you don't consider that really production either, than a regular 2001 E38 with sport package would be my answer. The E39 M5 looks great, but "beautiful" is not a word I'd use to describe it.
Mid-engined 4 door, 'nuff said. Even if it didn't go anywhere as a concept, the design influenced a whole generation of aero-cars. Beautifully done, inside and out and still looks good: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is one of my favorite Giugiaro concepts. I was in the Cadillac Studio when this car came out and it just stunned all of us at the time.
This has the opposite issue. The beltline is so low the glass won’t drop in the door, hence the need for the ancillary hatches to pay your tolls and get your burgers.
