I have seen porsche and bmw seats reupholstered to like OEM condition. I have not seen or heard modern daytonas for 430 or 360 being reupholstered. Im sure there are good shops that can do it. Any one heard anybody doing it. I am interested to know because my seats are showing some minimal bolster wear but i would like to recondition it in the future, to put it to 100% like new condition.
Depending on your location . I work with shop in Los Angeles that does all my customer interior for G Class Mercedes. They prob do other high end cars, I just never asked. +1 (323) 707-4981 Anthony . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just saw an advertisement this morning in the December Ferrari Club of America News Bulletin for a company in NJ. Cabrioworld offers convertible top replacements as well as seat covers. They do not list Daytona seats specifically, just 360 and F430. I have no experience with them. Their website is www.cabrioworld.com.
When I looked for someone to help me with my Daytonas I looked all over the world as the design is quite complicated and time consuming to get right. Some of the best seems to be on your side of the pond. None of them responded my mails. Eventually turned out we have a few good ones over here in Europe as well. Result and price was very satisfying. A quick search found these: http://m.worlduph.com/site/ferrari http://www.carclassicinteriors.com/ferrari-interior-restorations.html
thanks. This looks like a promising lead. Now i have hope to recondition my car to near perfect condition. It means i can keep on driving my car and not worry of these seats.

Leatherseats.com Here's a video link to their daytona seats: https://www.facebook.com/CustomLeatherSeats/videos/vb.211063572269195/959731960735682/?type=3&video_source=pages_video_set
FYI, leatherseats.com doesn't do that work anymore. I emailed them a while ago and they said they forgot to take that video down from the facebook page. They said they were no longer doing these inserts due to the specialty nature of manufacturing it.
I couldn't find a better thread to ask this on, so thought I would just bump this one. Does anyone know if you can swap the inserts on the daytonas to another color? More specifically, if the daytonas don't have contrast inserts, somehow get them in there? Or is it a lot more complicated than that?
Yes, the Daytona seats are quite modular. Inserts/bolsters are separate parts. I’ll be redoing mine this coming fall and posting up detailed disassembly if you want to wait that long.
Nice, good to know. Do you know where you can source the inserts? I looked quickly at Eurospares but didn't see them.
I don’t think you can source just the inserts. Or at least I haven’t looked. I just know you can remove them separately of the bolsters. So, if you find a used set that you want the inserts from, it should be a straight forward swap. Or at least you know you can have them redone without interfering with the airbag seam.
I'd searched for the inserts before as well. Seems there were a few threads about specialists in individual areas that were going to offer the service but soon either ran out of customers or patience to continue. The cost for doing only the insert nearly rivaled a set of seats, so I ended up buying a rather nice pair of manual Daytona seats to swap, but decided to keep my quite comfortable 'normal' power seats. I honestly didn't know you could swap the inserts! That's a nice feature and greatly broadens the potential if you wanted to revert for some reason. Anyway, mine are for sale here, but you have got me considering an insert swap - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-360-manual-daytona-seats.689567/#post-149547402
Yes, be sure Ferrari tax will be added for a custom set. You have to figure at least a hide of leather at $1k plus labor. Buying a used set of seats is running around $4k right now
You can get Daytona seat covers from GAHH and have your local shop swap out your seat covers for theirs: https://gahh.com/interiors/seats/160-03-11111-c473-ferrari-360-1999-2005-seat-front-kit-472n-stripes-472n-piping Image Unavailable, Please Login
So the seat covers only are $6grand?!? It may be fruitful to find excellent used seats. Mine just sold but they are out there.
Tan leather/tan stitching/no piping/360 power seats with Daytona inserts are unicorns. The closest thing on eBay right now are used, non power, non Daytona seats for 9 grand: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185107123602?fits=Model%3A360%7CMake%3AFerrari&itmmeta=01HRNN0N1SYQDVW7M9D0B84AA5&hash=item2b193e8d92:g:jrgAAOSwwpJhaKwm&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwHxjBhPzDf0hWgQeTNVbzb1kTXLsMaMf%2FJ4K2zcXYIJrE86gpF7wvMSrdGdmMdQTGwlgIGCT%2BbgvHvxfpqZfgCMNNaHTKDpaPUCQ8vUgwaX9zSA8z7FzYXswZXsGWn5xgW%2Bn%2Bq1LrCJoP8hqXDTbrXqbOnIFeuUl4gbKj3D%2F4Q9HuKYOipiJoZU016KL6cNS0mklTAIDInwy2tW5gi1EnP2I3LjOpSAopLSmKAUPmLGMqiSm9YN1rKikLDrWlpfNOw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5jRgrXFYw I had searched for years for such a set of seats and never found them. At one point I was seriously considering purchasing off color power seats on the cheap, installing GAHH tan/tan/Daytona covers, and selling sets of seats for a huge profit.
