As mentioned on BaT. It will be the least expensive 6 Speed available. But it also will not be given away. No Reason to. There is a market for lower priced 6 speeds and in the last 3 days this is why I am getting swamped with questions and guys/gals wanting to go this route. Unfortunately there are not enough factory parts to do this. When the 6 speed completely goes away and everyone holds on to them, we shall see what people will pay for a 6 Speed F430 parts swap.

And honestly some of these comments "Ohh its tired" umm.. Its 11 Years old has 50K miles. The older you get as a person the more tired you look. So save the comments for Mint cars with 1,000 miles on them. I work on Ferraris and Lamborghini that are 2 years old that look tired. LOL

The funny thing is that once these conversions (reversions?) are done, there is no way to tell the shifting is not original. Unless the car has a history on the web, as this car apparently did, you would need the original window sticker or the build sheet to verify it. Based on what I have read, FNA no longer supplies those documents for used cars. So in the future, if you are buying a manual 360 or 430, you should demand to see the car’s birth certificate before paying the premium. It’s getting complicated…

Shady at best not to disclose. So when I crack open the service records and see F1 repairs or fluid changes then what?

Then you would need to decide if the conversion work had any bearing on your willingness to buy the car. Most diligent buyers do crack open the service records before buying a car and ask questions.

But I do agree that this type of major work should be disclosed by the seller up-front. In the same way that any major work done on the car should be disclosed.

I'm buying a white Scud for a 6 speed swap, build out the engine and twin turbo it. Wonder how much crap I'll catch for this. *flame suite on*

Probably none if the modifications are disclosed up front and the car isn't priced twice what the market dictates.

Please skip the engine mods. That will be a very big mistake. The six speed effort would be welcome by way more people to this incredible platform. I would love to see you tackle this!

Kid driving a ferrari for the first time. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t stoked to drive it. Irrelevant to this thread.

Your fellow Ferrarian's seem to have a hard time grasping that concept.

So, the two of you (///David, ///Art) are at the shop that did the conversion? Maybe ///David is the shop owner? And the guy in the video who says 5-10% of 430s are 6 speed is...? Who is car titled to? Just curious. And, BTW, nice job on converting it to 3-pedal - I sincerely mean that!

Arts my brother. He's the one in the video giving the keys to Justin. He's also the shop owner, 32 years old, Genius and 9 Ferraris under his belt to date owned. It's quite sad watching all these haters on here to be honest. Who complains about having Hill engineering parts in their cars? Him and Lorenzo took a Clutched car, used Ferrari supplied parts and created something great. Most of us are big Manual advocates and Most of us are upset about the extinction of the 3 pedal car. Look at the Porsche boys how upset they were when the GT3 dropped the manual. Maybe its the market, well I'm sure its the market, most of the new breed wants to text and drive instead of buying a real car with a stick and no cup holders. I remember growing up, my brother had a 993, stick, no cup holders. BMW is starting to drop their manuals now to although "Luckily" most M cars still have a manual option available.

He's got a 6 speed manual 458 figured out in his head already.. I can only imagine what you guys are going to do to him next year. Jesus...

Lol. You know I ended up making a cup holder for that stupid thing right??? You were young, probably don't remember. Screw those conversion, time to build a supercar from scratch!

Very cool! I would think a 458 would be a lot more challenging since the transmission isn't "conventional" and no parts bin or crashed cars to pick from. Anyway, good luck with it. Also, I don't think people have anything against the F1 to 3-pedal conversions. 599 and 612 owners are also showing interest, and Boardwalk Ferrari took on converting a 599 from F1 to manual with factory parts as well, "simply" because the owner would like a 3-pedal car for the driving experience and didn't feel like paying the $500k premium.

I was talking to Kevin @ BW 2 years ago she. Steve was taking on the project. That's when I was talking about doing the f430.

The computers will be the tricky part on the 458. Trying to retain the functionally that the electronics provide. About 50% of that functionality is via Trans Control Module, but we have figured out a way on rewiring and moving those functions to the engine module. We won't know until we test it. And yes, everything will be from scratch with a few 430 parts in the mix. Luckily that CNC machine will be of great use.

I bought a conversion kit last year then sold it then bought another for this very reason. Seller should have stated the car was converted in my opinion. I also agree that the biggest hurdle to this car is the mileage. It should fit in right in the middle price wise between an F1 and "factory" stick shift car.

Totally, just took a look at the original ad and they mention such a mundane thing as changing the oil and filter but absolutely no mention that it was an F1 converted to a manual. Shady folks

Quite the contrary. "Conversion from F1 automated gearshift to manual gated shifter"
Read again, it's in the bullet points before the carfax report.
