It's looking like there is the distinct possibility of a new FCA Hawaii Chapter as part of the South West Region. Milton has stepped up to help organize the process. If you are either a current FCA member (from any Region/Chapter) and are interested in becoming a member of the FCA Hawaii Chapter or a non-FCA member interested in joining a Hawaii Chapter, please contact Milton at [email protected] for more information. We want to make sure that there is sufficient interest to make a viable chapter before officially launching one.

I didn't see a single Ferrari in Hawaii, actually no exotics, just a few Porsches Honolulu and Turtle Bay.

I hear that there may be close to 100+ Ferrari's in the State. Just need to have a reason to coax them out of hiding. There is a dealer in Honolulu as well.

Thanks. I'll send a note to Milton.

Close to 100+ Ferraris in the state? Hmm. Maybe, but at least some of those are the Waikiki rental market. I would guess closer to 25 individual owners. Some owners are out of state, who can afford to have exotics and keep them stored when they are not in town. Those folks may not be FCA members.

But I will defer to others who have been owners much longer than I have.

Subscribed. Planning to add one to the population next Spring. Have an empty garage bay on the BI that needs to be properly filled.

I personally knew of at least 10 Ferraris raging widely in model and type. From a 250 Lusso to 308's to TR's to 348's. I know there are 355's and 360's there as well. I also was aware of a 206 Dino but lost track of it.

Just to keep you all posted, the petition to form a new FCA Hawaii Chapter was received by the SW Regional Board and unanimously approved. The petition has been sent on to FCA National for final approval. Hawaii, it looks like you will have your own FCA Chapter very soon.

For those of you who are not FCA members, now is the time to sign up as I heard that dues will be increasing as of October 1st. Sign up before then at the lower rate. https://www.ferrariclubofamerica.org/ to sign up.

If you are a member of another region and live in Hawaii, now's the time to transfer your membership to the SW Region so you can be part of the Hawaii Chapter and your dues will help to support the Chapter operations. Let's get this kicked off right!

I'm looking forward to one of those FCA Hawaii T-shirts.

It's Official! The FCA Executive Board just voted to approve Chapter status for Hawaii! Hawaii remains part of the Southwest Region but now has its own Chapter.

As a member of the SW Regional Board, I look forward to working with you as things move forward.

I'll let your new Hawaii Chapter president take over the communications with you as my push for Chapter status is done.

Aloha kakou! 'O wau no ka mahalo,

That's great guys! Send the photos over to me and we'll get them into Sempre and Prancing Horse along with the article. I'm looking forward to joining you for a future event.

As always, the Ferrari's draw a crowd even when up against the Hawaii scenery.

Can you share the Fchat screen names of who was there?

Good question about the front plates! It is also technically impossible to pass your safety inspection without a front plate -- ultimately that's why I had one put on my car. But I guess you can install and remove the front plate for inspection, if you have the right kind of plate mount.

Looks like the FCA people on Oahu have the numbers and all the fun.
I've been an FCA member for over 35 years and had a lot of fun with the NW region, in Oregon.
Just moved to the BIg Island in 2017. I'm aware of about 5 cars here, but only seen one out and about. (I think it was "Ahi" in his black 458).
If there are any Big Island owners, shoot me a PM.
