Anyone have one and want to comment? Looks like a pretty nice package for the price.

I have never driven an SVR, but have driven an R plenty of times. The car feels over powered, meaning the chassis is not up to the power level, which would be even more so in the SVR. Not a car that inspires confidence at all. The S version, with 380bhp is a far better package.

I would agree I really disliked my R type. I have driven the S much, much better car. They should have left it alone with that as the top of the line.

380hp is the sweet spot then?

Well, it seems like the Cali has very little over an FTYPE R in raw performance and the Jaguar is arguably better looking.

I doubt you would think that if you drove them back to back. This is the worst car I have owned in the last 10 years (and that is a lot of cars).

    I bought a CPO 2015 R. I bought the '15 because I wanted RWD only.
The more I drive the car the more I like it. It's working for me. No way close to 991 sports car sharpness but not as sloggy as a big GT like a CL550. The car has tons of power everywhere. The seats are comfortable and the maint is very low. Just not a fussy car at all.
I think of it as a Corvette with better build quality.

I think the SVR has a too much stuff tacked on on the outside. I really like the diamond stitch seats on the inside. Don't buy one for the extra power over an R. I can't notice the difference.

Wow such different takes on this car!

I have heard that really 380hp is enough too. But made this worst car you've ever owned?

Only in the last 10 years, but for someone like me that is a whole lot of cars. I have very unique ways of looking at cars, probably why I have had 464 of them.

I think the 380HP is better balanced and more than enough power. That said, it's kind of a car you buy for the obnoxious engine.
