It really does, but what me always makes laughing is the term "matching numbers" - as we know there are no matching numbers.
    engine # <> VIN <> Body #
I haven't ever seen a production list so far - so it can only mean that it's still the original engine/gearbox in the car which is quite normal with only ~410 built...

That's the next number of These funny matching numbers, since there is also an order number of lamborghini, my former FLA12203 had on the pieces written 193. I didn't know about the body number that time, so my own former car I don't know :(

Other assumption, perhaps they stamped the order number and applied the VIN at consignment.
Questions over questions, definitely the future will answer also these but no more in 2017.

Yes indeed! Case in point.... my old Jalpa DLA12071 had engine #066 and confirmed by the build sheet I got from the factory. :)

I don’t get on the other site as often as here, but last I read, Lee the current owner of my old Jalpa has abandoned the project of trying to turbocharge it and is putting it back to the way it left the factory.

    Merry Christmas Raymond!

Also to you Mike, and of course to all Jalpa owners out there.

I'm happy Lee abandoned his Turbo project, even with 400hp a Jalpa is not a rocket, it's also too seldom to do such Project IME. There are other cars with which you can have much more fun with a significant smaller budget like my Mini Cooper S race saloon car.

BTW if someone is looking for a Jalpa my friend has been thinking of possibly sell his. Car is totally road worthy. Engine, trans, brakes, suspension and electrical has all been redone to be in perfect running condition. My guess is below $100K canadian.

I search some information about a LHD Jalpa sold new in 1988 by Pullicini Classic, Vin 12350 and first registration in UK F534KGH
Car is white with black interior, Silhouette Wheel and US front bumper and side marker.
    Thanks for your help.

    great car! great video!
probably the best jalpa video i have ever seen :)
love the colors and the way the video captures the car's sound

only modern badge glued to the steering wheel has to go, it really does not belong there

I went and saw this Jalpa in Miami. It's not in the best of shape. Lots of chips and scratches in the paint. It has way more than the 11,800km as the ODO says, the drivers side bolster has been replaced. It's missing its air intake box. It has some kinda aftermarket fuel pump that is making funny noises. Its missing all the hoses for the AC in the front boot. Missing sun visors. Leaking antifreeze and oil. The list goes on and on....
