Can anybody tell or show me where the coolant overflow tank is located in the early Ghibli?

I think it may go on the rear portion of the driver side wheel arch splash guard, right by the brake boosters. Funny thing is that there are no mounting holes on my car.

    Thanks very much

On my car a1968 it is mounted on the passenger side about half way back in the engine compartment.. I believe the parts book also shows this location

Hi Mike. Mine is out of the car at the moment. Would you like me to measure it for you?
I’m sure it’s intrinsically easy to fabricate as long as you can find the right gauge of spring steel wire.

    Good hunting meanwhile.

    Best regards. Mark

    Thanks Mark,
I found one to copy, but the spring metal rod is a bit hard to find..

Hey Guys, Thanks for the info about the overflow tank location. My car is number 096. Years ago, Kyle Flemming told me it should be on the driver side wheel well liner but I don't recall ever seeing one. I do have a photo of an early car with a visible overflow hose going to that general location but the tank isn't visible.

Hi All- Does anyone have a set of original Ghibli luggage circa 1968. I would appreciate the measurements of both the large and smaller pieces. I have found many photos but do not have the dimensions. We are going to Italy shortly and I hope to have two pieces made. Ed

I don't have one, also an early car #376, are you sure they all had one from day one?

Here's looking at you, kid ......

Ghibli checks out its new garage-mate and wonders if it will no longer be the preferred child. Not to worry, the Ghibli will always be the favorite child :)

I considered a cut spyder as there is a very nice black one available that would have looked really nice next to the black Ghibli. A real Daytona spyder was financially out of the question, especially since I like to drive my cars. In the end decided on a coupe as I hate starting a conversation with "no, it is not a real one". The Daytona has power steering which makes all the difference in the world. Kind of like driving a Ghibli with and without power steering.

Since you already have a Grifo, to go with the Ghibli and Daytona all you need now is an Islero to cover the late 60s early 70s Italian front engine GT cars

Ivan: Glad you now have a Daytona. As you may recall I have both a Ghibli and a Daytona, same color as yours. I also added power steering which makes it an easy driver without changing anything above say 30 MPH. I look forward to your comparison of the two.

Hi Julian. I’ll be needing one of those then!
Is it just different in length to the late one??

Maybe worth an email to cicognani
But failing that, this company has a huge catalogue of sections

    https://www.coh-baines.co.uk/

I’ll have a look when I have a spare moment
    But there are hundreds....

    It must be available somewhere.

    Best regards to all.

    Mark.

    PS.

    Doug, your car looks fabulous.
