A loaded and discounted S560 was priced similar to this fully loaded 1k mile S600 Maybach CPO. However, the rear interior and magic body control sold me on this beauty. Regardless, it will take some time getting accustomed to driving (and being driven in) an 18ft long car.

That car looks amazing, congratulations on your purchase! I'd love to see more pics and some day hear your thoughts on it. Enjoy it in good health!

Not sure about the black piano wood trim and the porcelain white interior. However, from what I've seen, the porcelain wears surprisingly well.

Very nice I just have a regular S550 and it is big, that thing is huge. If you plan to get driven around you really need the wine glasses that fit into the slots.

Out of 1,000 cars it might be one of the last ones I wanted to drive, but it would be #1 of cars to be driven in. Limo's are out of style, but this gives you the same thing without being out of style. :)

Oh uh, Rob wants a limo. Next thing you know he'll stop cutting his hair, grow his fingernails out, and only hire Mormons.

As much as I hate big cars those are beautiful. I couldn't see driving one but getting driven around in it would be nice.

What is the difference between the Maybach Maybachs of a few years ago and the Mercedes Maybachs of today ?
I did a search on cars.com and Maybach per the sight ends around 2008.

PS I LOVE the look of that rear seat interior shot !!!

Maybach from a few years ago was a separate line. Now just an option like AMG.

I'll spend 60% of the time driving it and 40% using it for for my trips to NYC w/driver. The front passenger seat backrest is designed to lay back and meet the rear passenger ottoman making the right side of the car a full bed with a 43 degree recline. It's a little know feature that is quite amazing in its execution and it certainly beats taking the commuter rail.:)

My 2 buddies and I got to test drive a Maybach 57 at the Pebble Beach car weekend in 2005. We were wandering around behind the Lodge on thursday, and as we walked by their tent, they called us in, and convinced us to take a test drive. The engineer that rode with us, had us constantly pushing the car to the limits that the 17 mile drive would allow us. It was a blast ! Very quick for it's size, and when you weren't driving, you got to play with the airline style seats in the back. It was an unexpected opportunity to drive a $300k beast.

Hope you enjoy yours. It looks great !

I've always loved the look of extra long wheelbase luxury sedans. The iL 7 series, Phaeton, this S-class, etc. Congrats on the purchase.

According to wiki, it's about 7 and a half inches longer than the long-wheelbase S-class.

I service an 2008 57s. One of the front shocks took a dump. 12000 for the shock..2 weeks rush from Germany.

Not soon after that..the alternator let go. 14k new..or 7500 benz reman unit. After that the transmission went..cheapest part of the car at 4k including labor to rebuild it.

    Nice car tho..
