    Thanks f140c,

    After reading Ian Coburn’s thread on his beautiful TDF, it was mentioned that the name was changed from Grigio Coburn to something else (not answered on the thread) when the 812 was brought to Frankfurt and is now an available color. Again, under a new name? I may have misinterpreted and would appreciate some clarity. The color is absolutely gorgeous and the metallic flakes look amazing under the bright lights at the show!

    I wasn't aware of that. @icoburn said: "The 812 at Frankfurt IAA is a Tailor Made car. The color is a triple layer grey called Grigio Coburn, the same color that is on my Tailor Made F12Tdf. Like many of the tri-layer paints, the color changes dramatically depending on the lighting, ranging from gunmetal in low or indirect lighting, to silver-grey in direct or intense lighting. I would say depending on lighting it's somewhere between Grigio Ferro and Titanio. Due to my schedule and work being done to my Tdf, I won't be able to post pictures for a couple of weeks, but I will once I have time to take some proper pictures. For those interested in inquiring about using this color the paint code is 64077044"

    It has not been renamed, the individual who said that was misinformed. Ferrari Tailor Made has confirmed this directly with me and they had also informed me that they used Grigio Coburn on the Frankfurt IAA 812. I am not sure why the paint label on the IAA 812 did not reflect that, but I can assure you the PPG is the same.

    thanks F140c and crazyblack! Just saw your post Ian. That's awesome!! Congrats on having a special color named after you. It happens to be a gorgeous color and really pops under the lights!

    Would ordering this special "Grigio Coburn" color sidetrack/delay the usual build time, say instead of ordering GT for instance?
