    That is one thing on wich we perfectly agree : Duplicating an hsitorical or racing livery on a modern car will undoubtly fail.

    Perhaps but the irony is that owners have been doing this for some time now on their own when they ordered a Ferrari.
    Then Ferrari took the owner's idea and did their own series tied to the 70 years anniversary theme. One owner took the wine red color from a special 1960 Ferrari convertible and combined it with a special interior. This design choice was used for his 599 SA aperta. There are other examples to but it is a choice of the owner and not Ferrari so they get just what they want with their custom Ferrari.
