I've decided to sell my 2005 F430. I'll be listing it in the weeks ahead. I have no idea what the 430 market is doing right now, as I've been out of touch with the market for the past two years. Can anyone steer me in the right direction as far as prices are concerned?

Miles, F1 or gated, color, options, owners, service history, etc? Those points would help to establish a baseline for pricing.

Yep, there are a million places to get a decent idea, but the rubber hits the road when you decide if you're going to sell person-to-person privately, consign, trade in against another car or sell to a dealer. If someone else is going to sell the car for you (and put their reputation behind your car) there may be other things you need to consider like inspections and new tires (if your tires are older than 6 years, for example. This is a rule in Cali, not sure about Fla).

The amount of money in your pocket will likely be directly proportional to the PITA quotient.

Sell privately: IMO, big pain in the butt with all the drama and risks associated, but potentially biggest price tag
Sell to a dealer: You get less money, but walk away from the car with zero drama

    Consign/Trade-in fit somewhere between

Good luck. I typically consigned my older cars at the dealer. They made some money off the sale, I didn't have to deal with any aspect of the process.

Mine is an F1 coupe. Yellow and black. 17,000 miles. New tires on the rear. 70% up front. Carbon Fiber extra. Scud wheels. All tools, books, manuals, cover, etc.

Service records will help you sell quicker and keep you closer ~ to asking price. Make sure you have all maintenance up to date, if not expect to have any PPI findings docked from asking price.

I appreciate all comments but all I really want to know is what the average F430 F1 market is doing. Is it hot or soft? 90-100? Something along those lines.

I casually keep an eye on 360/430 prices and have been for about 5 years, my opinion based on keeping an eye on asking prices on AutoTrader (both the Canadian and US versions) is the market is soft.

For a 430 your range seems to be what they are asking which means they are selling for less then that, for a 360 they are about 20% less then that.

You will get much more for your car if you can find a private party to buy it and I think the 360 and the 430 are very good first Ferrari's so I think you will have success selling it privately, probably even here on FChat in the classifieds.

I hope it works out for you and you don't miss the car too much after its gone, I am missing both the 430 and the 360 I have had and am on the fence on which one I get again, hopefully this spring.

    Ciao

Prices are probably a little lower now with winter season. Id throw out you're roughly somewhere in the 105-110k range in my opinion. Lowest case 100k if the service is up to date.

Impossible to say without more info and pics. Top dollar, in my opinion is $130K + which means the car is low miles, Red, Daytona seats, MKII manifolds, challenge grill, carbon fiber options and less than 10% wear on the clutch, fully serviced and CPO'd by a Ferrari dealer. Start deducting for color, miles, etc....

Looks like plenty of F1s are available between 80 - 100. So those offered up to 130 are kind of outliers, no?

I'd figure 85k, depending on condition and records. Good luck.

That's a low ball number you are throwing out there, real low

You need a subscription to Ferrari Market Letter. Six months is $50, and then you can access the past three years of their market data. If you are serious about selling a $125,000 car, that is dirt cheap to learn about the market. I would also think you would want to consider running an ad there, too. Good luck!

Probably a realistic picture of today's market. Overall prices are a bit soft right now and seemed to be trending down all of 2017. As a comparison, I saw a 2008 F430 F1 Spider sell at a Ferrari dealer recently with 3500 miles, grigio/nero and lightly optioned, all services up to date. I believe it sold for mid low 130s.

I would suspect an early coupe in a private sale as described, is going to be closer to 100k

Thanks to all. Getting it detailed this week, then photographed and listed, unless I decide to wait a month or so to see if the spring season might bring a little more interest.

If I were you I'd start at 100 or 105k but be prepared to negotiate a bit if need be. The biggest things going against your car are that it's a 2005 and yellow.
