Another question concerning my 86 Mondial. The speedometer shows 8 miles per hour or so when car isn't even running. After starting, it still registers the same. Any thoughts or suggestions?

That is normal, the arrow points also around 15km/h when running idle. It's because it only starts moving from > 15km/h . Trust me, I have opened up the speedometer and adjusted the arrow to point at 0km/h, but then I saw that it was showing 10 or 15 km/h too low while driving.

We haven't had one of these threads for a while but isn't there an almost invisible pin on most Ferrari speedos of this era to prevent it going to zero - something about it being necessary to retain accuracy higher up the speed range
