    2010 458 1200 miles or 2012 458 50000 miles - all other parameters being equal

Wow, that's a tough one. 2012 will have the 7-year maintenance, 2010 will not. 2010 is the first year of the 458, which normally scares me off of any car model, but the 458s seem to have been pretty reliable. If the 2010 has good service records, passes a PPI - I'd go for the lower mileage example. I'd also go to the 458 sub-forum and ask there, Tides, as those folks are going to be more insightful...T

Value was a 50,000 miles Ferrari is worth nothing in the resale market, also with a high chance an engine or transmission will go bad as Ferrari is definitely not built for so many miles, you’ll be looking at a 50k to 80k repairs.

I would buy a 1200 mile car and drive it all day long and still have a low miles Ferrari for sell at the end of the day.

And as for the maintenance program that is still active in the 2012 car - it’s really not saving you anything as if you get 1 thing that will brake on your 50,000 miles car your will pay more money than 10 visits for service at a Ferrari dealer.

    Good luck.

How many miles? Yours is a 2010 if I recall correctly. From time to time, I think a V-12 F-car would be nice, but the wife & I enjoy the Cali so much, the feeling passes quickly (thus far!)...T

2010 less than 13000 miles - it’s a great car but the Italia is the iconic cherry.

On this note, I thought the hewer engines and transmissions were built much better then previous cars, and I believe they said the transmission should last the life of the car, whatever that is. So when is it time for serious engine work on these newer Ferrari's? 60k? 100k? Just courious, since i plan to keep whatever I buy (hopefully) until im too old to drive it safely anymore. Of course I wouldnt consider a 50k mile car to begin with but i have been seriously eyeing cars 25k to 35k miles.
