2010 458 12000 miles or 2012 458 50000 miles - all other parameters being equal - is high mileage a red flag or is it a perceived no go Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Here we go again...you'll get both sides on this, those like me that drive their cars, and those that would rather say they own one and only occasionally allow the car to sneak out of the garage. I suspect the best option is somewhere in between. What you'll never know is how the car was actually treated by the prior owner(s), the physical condition can be an indicator of care, but the most expensive repairs come from what we cannot see. I'd want to see these cars in person if I were interested, but in general I'd probably opt for the 2010, with the caveat being that price will also be a big factor. Jim
I am assuming their price is equal. 50k is kinda high...even for a daily 458 that’s 4 years worth of driving more than the other. Prob go for the 2010 in this case. If the 2012 is 20k or so, I would take the 12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
+1, more than 30,000 miles for a 2012 begins to be intensive. Actually the 50,000 miles car may be in pretty good shape, but one needs to consider it will also impact resale value whenever the time comes.
You did not give enough details imo ... pricing ? Extra's like CF, dealer or not, warranty etc ... Never a 2010 just like that (and private sale)... have seen three DGT's in problem. Luckily repaired via guarantee. Would not like to pay for such a repair myself ... Only a 2010 if you get two years of Power Warranty with it. Miles .... they are pretty good thee days ... we see 458's now already with 80K miles and over ...
You say everything else is equal; in which it must be the 2010 car. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Went for Mclaren 650s in the end - newer technology won the day - very planted and capable car - no disappointments here ! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
buy what you like the best. At the end of the day it’s just a car. My 458 will break 100k miles by the end of the month
