Looks like a triple layer unless photoshopped. Could passably be Rosso Maranello (I’m a bit of an addict for that colour) but I’m going to go with the slightly more gold of Rosso Berlinetta?

I predict that there will be an active market for non amber colored side markers.

Wait a second, in one pic it's yellow and another it looks black. Why is that?

I picked up my Nero Daytona with Cuoio/Red Alcantara interior yesterday and did about 180 kms today - mix of city/highway driving. I had driven the 812 at Varano as part of the Pilota late last year so I only experienced it in anger on the track. I was not sure what to expect in day to day driving as I was really hoping for a GT car that was refined enough to be used for trips to the country with the missus (TDF does not tick this box) but still lethal enough to be enjoyed on the track a couple of times a year (TDF-many ticks of this box!!). This is now my 6th Ferrari so I expected it to be good - but I just don't know how Ferrari do it time and again - this car is astonishing in its breadth of ability. Ignoring the design for now, the 812 reveals distinct personalities more so than the F12 did - super refined up to 4-5,000 rpm, then plant the accelerator and that V12 exhaust note and momentum shift is pure Ferrari DNA. It is a major step up in nearly every department from my recollection of my F12 - I even think the new electric steering is better - feels more weighted when you need it to be than the F12 (although still a little detached compared to a 911). The improvement in all the controls, electronics is really appreciated. Simple things like the indicator rocker switches on the steering wheel, wiper control and cruise control - far more simple to operate and works more efficiently. My daughter loved playing with the passenger display, selecting music etc. Try as I might, with a relatively simple interior spec, I could not fault the quality of the interior, leather etc. Car's interior looks very well put together - very solid, no rattles, squeaks - S Class like from that perspective. My only quality issue is with the exterior - the rear diffuser suffers from the same issue seen on many 812s - it is not level. There is a lot of flex in this piece so will be interesting to see what the factory says about it. Design wise I liked the 812 from the moment I saw it in Maranello so my only reservation was did I make the right colour choice - but when the car was unveiled in the Ferrari dealership showroom I was very happy with ND - more so in sunlight when it just looks stunning and has the depth and contrast to highlight many aspects of the 812's design. Looking forward to many trips in this amazing F car.
