I think you'll see more of a bump - It's easier to turn the wick up on a turbo Plus they got this pesky 720S to stump out

I don't think they want to win the HP wars, especially as we know the 720 is more like 780. As always they will be after the entire package and given they start with a better engine and a better sounding engine, they will certainly win the emotion prize, and we know how important that is.

Just remember the lukewarm reception the Speciale received until the first drives. My dealer offered Factory collection, Factory Tour and a whole host of freebies to try and get the first one out the door. It didn't work. For a bit.......

The Speciale was actually quoted for 605 hp, applying the same increase percentage (6.14%) to 670 hp leads to just exceed 711 hp. So power should be 712 hp or more...

hmmmmmmm....."Highest racing technology transfer on a street homologated Ferrari" ..........."Evolution of 488 Challenge engine". I'm still putting money that it will be the 488 GTO.

Glad they are giving it Carbon Fiber wheels, I predicted it because its a no brainer since Ford has shown twice now with the Shelby GT350R and Ford GT. Its just the next step in weight savings. Soon Lamborghini will have suspension pieces made from their forge carbon fiber.

I also predict it will be faster on a track than the LaFerrari.

So.......GTO, and faster than a LaFerrari. Thats my final round up for the 488 GTO. Oh and centre lock wheels as an option. Hope I'm right.

I think Ferrari quotes CV not HP.

 

It will be fast, but don't think there is a business case for making it faster than a LaFerrari.

 

It's hp (horse power) and not bhp (brake horse power), as I understand. All bhp figures would be reduced since one bhp represents more power than one hp.

A 1'20.5 Fiorano lap time was mentioned before, that would put it between the LaFerrari (1'19.7) and F12 tdf (1'21).
The tyres mentioned in the slide being "new" Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, I do not think there will be a usable Pirelli option (because the "new" Michelin will be custom made, most probably with the most extreme compound).
